This is probably the most definitive edition of the Combaticon figures ever! I seriously can’t see them getting any better than this.
Have you ever seen the self-transforming Optimus Prime? Imagine if the could pull that off with these guys!

This thing (considering this is masterpiece level transformers) quite cheap, only about 220 €, for the whole combiner, impressive

One of the more subtle good points of this set is the fact the designers managed to make all of the Combaticons different sizes in robot mode, and that they managed to do that without messing up the proportions of their combined form.
That's what gets me the most. In the G1 cartoon you could tell the that parts of he combiners shrunk or grew to make up for the size discrepancy, but in this case that discrepancy is worked around so that their individual forms are different sizes but the overall combiner it uniform. This was calculated really well in regards to construction.
if only swindle was something else, because its kinda weird that he is a huge tank sized jeep
@@Tryllobite I'd love to see Swindle redesigned as a light tank or apc, something with comparable mass to Brawl's tank body but still looking like a lighter and quicker vehicle. Blast off and Vortex got the same vehicle mode problems but that space shuttle mode makes for such an easy conversion to a limb, it'd be a harder redesign.

@@zcrazy3374 No the original Combaticons from the animated (canon) universe. G1 to Fall of Cybertron (they were in FoC and you played as all five of them across a single level before combining into Bruticus to smash up an Energon transport.)
Actually, you can only play as Swindle, Vortex, and Bruticus. Would have loved to play as the others in FoC.
Fun fact: If the scale of the combaticons was realistic, Blast-Off would absolutely tower everyone else, and Swindle would be just a tiny bit bigger than Bumblebee.
Sweet Mother of Primus! This is the most comprehensive combiner figure I've ever witnessed. It is impressive enough that the giant hands are actually integrated into the bots (as opposed to being separate pieces) but each mode of each bot is clean and solid. No kibble and no hallow parts.

Having said that I agree with you that it's a very impressive set.
I even noticed one of the hands is formed by two parts, one with 2 fingers and the other with 3 fingers. Fantastic.
@@luisvilleda4616 I have the first figure in Mastermind's next combiner set, PS-21 Medicus, and they have actually improved the articulation of the hand over this set.

What I loved the most was how ALL of Bruticus's extra pieces already were parts of the Combaticons' bodies rather than being separate things you had to attach to them.
There is so much brilliant engineering in all these figures.

There IS an upgrade kit for him that has bigger feet/plates/crotch etc. It all goes into the truck mode of "Onslaught." Turns him from G1, to Japanese comic book mode and stands better IF you're okay with some parts-forming.

I love how all of the parts of Bruticus are integral, and how the weapons all stow somewhere. That was the worst part with G1, having a huge pile of accessories only usable in robot mode. Guns, missiles, fists, all begging to get lost. Transformers today truly are a step beyond.

Man, I remember when I was a kid and the combiners had so many add-on parts like the hands, head etc! The way they're able to incorporate that into the actual component parts now, is an engineering marvel!

I like how they somehow manage to incorporate every piece of combiner kibble without it really detracting from their other modes. Seriously, if you told me to look at any of their robot or vehicle modes with no prior knowledge my first thought would be "Thats really cool, how do you attach the seperate hand or foot piece?" and my mind is literally melting at the engineering in these guys, its insane.
I'd like to point out the Hilarious thing about these figures is that none of them are particularly complex. They are all astoundingly simple for what the achieve.
It dawned on me at the end that the hands of Bruticus are split down the middle and yet can still rotate on a wrist join
@@bdamasterdark I know right! Its really neat, they can still technically rotate when split in half though, They just fall out I think if you try to go further than 180degrees. The engineering behind these guys is really impressive.
@@kre8or465 They infact do not. They have some kind of stopper in them to prevent that. It's kind of annoying actually. Cause you can only get them to rotate so much when they are together because of it.
@@PerspectiveEnd Its a shame, yes. But realistically, hands don't do 360 rotations anyway so its serviceable.
This set is the miraculous mix of simplicity, and genius engineering. Everything just... makes sense. They look perfect, pose great, and are all-inclusive with a similarly amazing combined mode. Now, if only i could find one for cheap...
This is (HANDS DOWN) the very best Combaticons/Bruticus set I have ever seen! No one ever needs to try reimagining them again, because no one will live up to this. This is definitive! WOW!!!
Im still amazed behind the engineering of these toys. How they manage to make it similar to the G1 show and still make it cool, not to mention the built in hands/foot/chestplate. Just really awesooome.

Oh my.... this 3rd party Bruticus is a true masterpiece.
Each figure is so detailed and even can combine.
One of the best combiners in the series. I know Onslaught was the leader, but it seemed like Swindle had a lot of focus on him throughout the series.
Swindle was by far the most interesting of the bunch, so made sense he got spotlighted. He had charisma and was willing made deals with anyone. (You see him in the background in the hospital in the return of Optimus Prime...might been an error but fun think he sold the parts to heal the ones guys daughter heh.)
Onslaught was just angry control freak who had too complicated plans, similar to the constructicons, where united nothing but the most basic plans gets through their because they can't agree on anything beyond that. Why both Bruticus and Devastator were dumb as a box of rocks combined despite their separate pieces were mostly intelligent. (besides Brawl.) The whole combiner's psychology is one of the interesting parts of them besides just being a huge robot(like Omega Supreme and Skylynx), as each team had their own quirks and strengths based off their personalities merging together.
Bruticus is my favorite thing on Transformers. The fact that they were a bunch of douches stuck on an asteroid talking crap to each other then got released by Starscream and beat the hell out of everyone. The contrast between their intelligence when separated versus Bruticus's stupidity is great too. Plus the name and voice were awesome. Toy just needs the 3 spots on the back.
When we were children, we could only dream of such precisely made transformers. I am still a fan of this cartoon, I grew up on it.

Noticed a lot of folks asking where these are from. It’s a third party company that makes them ( mastermind ) and from what I can gather it goes by the name (Assaultus combiner ) be warned the entire set will set you back the lovely amount of $560 roughly

It's name is Assaultus, that'r correct. However, it was created by Ocular Max, not Mastermind Creations. Easy mistake to make, both companies make amazing Transformers Figures.

I love how the combaticons are basically *made* almost entirely out of their alt-modes and they really make it work!

The underside of Swindle's jeep is a little ropey but other than that they're pretty much perfect. And Bruticus is outstanding. Definitely looks like you'd need to keep the manual close to hand though. Some of those transformations are insane.

You can hide those giant fist inside the robot itself, those companies normally need to attach those giant fist separately.

I finally found these figures online. They are from Masterminds Creations and they are PS-17 Probus, PS-14 Incursus, PS-16 Volatus, PS-15 Fraudo, and PS-13 Inpetus.

Actually vortex is based of a Blackhawk witch wasn’t used on ither of those wars only being used in the modern military and blast idk

@Blinkachu05 Yeah, but Swindle is more based on the animated model than in the original toy, being more jeep-like, having the vehicle's front as his crotch, and so on. Also, Vortex's helicopter mode's round shapes are closer to the animated model as well. So, Onslaught could be more show-accurate as well, especially given the modern toys folding and rotating parts would make it easier to do than in the simpler toys from the past.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. The engineering this took is mind blowing. I love how each part of bruticus is incorporated into each individual combaticon.
zeta toys and mastermind creations are definitively the best combiner makers out there, and if you want g1 accuracy zeta just doesn't miss, assaultus and superitron are two of my favourite combiners available

Never understood the Space Shuttle in this combiner group.
This is one of the best if not the greatest combiner ever designed. All of the pieces including the hands feet are formed by the bots that makes him. Excellent design! A++.

That is what is so wonderful about getting these Combiners today...back when they first came out, you had the hands and feet of Bruticus as extra pieces, NOW, they are how they are supposed to be, part of each individual Transformer. I LOVE IT!!!!

Jeezus! These toys have so many movable parts. I’m old enough to remembers time when all you had to do was push the head down, move the arm here, and tuck the legs, and boom, the robot was a vehicle😂. These are some pretty sweet toys though. I would’ve loved to have had these as a kid.

Calling it right now, these are the best transformers toys I will ever see, both individually and as a set, its just all so clean and detailed.
Since this popped up again into my recommendations, I just wanted to say I have this figure of Bruticus(or Assaultus since being a 3rd party instead). It's the best gift I've gotten and the best looking homage to the G1 Combaticons

These figures and their alternate modes are awesome! The engineering is unique for each one, and they all look amazing together AND separately!...I just wish I could find where I could buy those figures.

This Bruticus knock-off is actually a very genius design. Infact it's probably better than any official Bruticus figure i've ever seen to date.
Technically not a knockoff. It's sold by a third party company. Not a ko company. The design is completely original. Just based off of the original studio ox lineart designs and sold under a different name. Only happens with transformers. Its like an official ko
The animation where they just morph into blobs looks lazy in comparison to the intricacies of these figures.

I think the most impressive part of this all is that Onslaught's trailer isnt just some detatachable part reseved exclusivelt for Bruticus.

So incredibly and beautifully. The engineering of these Combiners blows my mind and takes me back yo when I was a kid wanting these so bad. Now that Transformers have their G1 look and have some very intricate steps for transformation makes me want these so bad again. 😊

The transformation sequences might be complicated, but they make them so much more anime-realistic, and the way they make them combine... FAR more secure in that than earlier figures. I am impressed. Now, where's Superion? He and the Aerialbots never got very well-designed figures or transformations...
They are doing Defensor next. But there are other companies who have made a Superion (or any other combiner for that matter)

Halo is if we're really kind from early 2000. Brawl is a toy from the 70s brought in to a toy brand in the 80s. So nope, Master chief is the lookalike in this case

@@sjsapp4657 Sorry for taking over a year to get back to you. First one is Gun by Lucky Tapes, I've not been able to track down the second song, but the third is All Because of You by Lucky Tapes once again. A good chunk of the go-to music on this channel is Lucky Tapes, it's got a good vibe to it.
The best looking i've ever seen, exactly like in the cartoon, very lifelike and it seems they have anticipated all problems you can think off that makes the Hasbro version a pretty dorky looking knockoff. The proportions to the other characters is spot on! Very cool, one my favorites.

This set is perfect. The individuals match 100%, Vehicle mode is spot on. My only issue is (and not just with this one) why are all the Bruticus combiners have the arms above the shoulders and pass the head? The Cartoon the arms align with the shoulders
Hasbro takata tommy will charge $1000 for this level engineering.
MP-44 at 450 and MP-49 repaint, less accessories and no voice at 250-ish? More like 2000-3000

Two things.
1. Engineering has advanced loads since the original toys.
2. These transformations are more elaborate than the ones in the G1 show.
Bought my son the Blast off for this set as one of his xmas presents. Will be his first 3rd party figure as well as first collector level figure. As for myself got Dreamstar toys Slingshot arriving later this month a major step up for me. Plan to complete both sets as I can without question though.
What website do you use to purchase these third-party combiner sets? I had Transformers as a kid and now my son is getting interested in them as well. Looking to start him off with a good and affordable Stunticons and Aerial Bot sets.

There were never any transformers in stores where i lived and just by pure chance and luck she got me one tiny transformer with a sticker that changes color when you add hot water
It was the most beautiful thing i ever saw as a kid
