You are a very patient man. Thanks for the video even though I'm actually paying a mechanic to do this on my 08 F250.
At least now you know why they are charging an arm and a kidney!
My friend You are not a mechanic, You are a doctor, thank you For that video. I have to fix My F350/ 2008 and know how to do right now.
Great job on the repair and video. Been waiting to tackle this job on my 2010 F250 and I’m in the middle tonite. Very helpful, as I got the dash out fairly easy and plan to attack the air box removal and evaporator and heater core replacement tomorrow. Thanks. 👍
Good luck!
Hell of a thumbnail coming out the truck with that thing, great job
Thanks!
Imagine what a dealership would have charged for this! And in my experience they almost never get it right.
Always remember no matter how big of a project, you can mess it up as well as a dealership for a lot less money!
God bless!
I ended up having to take it somewhere after I wrecked everything so I'm money ahead to just take it there to start with. Just have to buy one set of parts instead of 2 or more.
@@lewiemcneely9143 Depends on where you take it. I don't have any shop inside of 250mi of me that I trust. But if you find a good shop, make friends with them and they will take good care of you!
@@greenhillgarage I've got at least 4 that do me as good a job as can be done on my old stuff. $100 is nothing any more and I know that as good as anybody. The small bill for stuff is gone and has been. It's either pay up or live with it.
I would love to hear someone post what they paid to have their evaporator replaced! I bet it’s at least $2k!
@@barntech2291 At least!
I did injectors on my Dad's 7.3 Powerstroke and it ran him around $1500 for a full set of full force stage 1s.
I had a dealership quote from a few years ago for $4,500 for stock replacements.
My mom has 2000 suburban and I am dreading the day the heater core goes bad. But I for sure won't pay $2k to replace a $80.00 part.
Is it okay to leave the drier exposed to atmospheric air (not a/c system air). I read somewhere that doing so will ruin it. What say you?
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to make it!
I bought a new one. It was cheaper than the evaporator and much easier to replace. Unless you live in the desert, it isn’t worth the risk.
@@barntech2291 Makes sense.
When you were telling what Jesus said about how we are to treat our enemies I thought you were going to pray it over the engineers at Ford! I had a Honda Civic that blew a head gasket and the so-called wrench man poured it FULL of stop leak. Got a new gasket put in but no heater. The pal that put in the gasket flushed it a half a dozen times and said I'd need a new heater core. The core was $45 but to pull the dash was $350 or better and that was several years ago. I just elected to drive it no heater. I had to go to the v.a. early and went about 40 miles before the temp gauge even lifted off the cold pin and didn't move much farther anyway. I was clothed and had no problem. It's a wonder you ain't bald with having to keep up all the things you do. I farm ours out and glad to do it. Door paint here is minor. A whole door might get an eyebrow up a little. God Bless and Happy Pappy Day!
Would you post a review on those headlights and where you got them? I have been looking at a set for months but can not decide!!
Sure! I shot a video on the new headlights and tail lights about 2 months ago, but as I was editing I realized the lighting was really bad so I never published it. Lemme dig that up and see if it’s salvageable.
@@barntech2291 awesome!
@ThisGuy Hudson new video published, just for you :-)
