Someone in unbearable pain in england: lets go to the hospital! Someone in unbearable pain in america: we’d better check into a motel and see how it goes
This seems like an absolute NIGHTMARE. Imagine going to the hospital thinking you have something wrong with your stomach and get told you're pregnant while you're in immense pain & the baby is coming any minute. I think I would rather just.. die.
This happened to a girl I went to highschool with. She delivered a full term baby without ever having known she was pregnant (she had an inverted uterus so it barely showed). She also continued life as normal during her pregnancy bc she just didnt know, and drank regularly. Thankfully the baby was born perfectly healthy, but I don't think it right for people to be shaming this girl for drinking when she didn't know. This happens more often than people think and its unreasonable to assume a woman would constantly be checking for pregnancy if there were 0 signs of it
I see all these people giving her a hard time in the comments but literally think about it She finds out she’s pregnant 19 minutes before she has the child, she didn’t want a child beforehand, and wasn’t mentally, emotionally, or financially ready at all. That’s such a huge responsibility and life decision shoved into your face in the span of 20 minutes. Y’all shouldn’t expect her to immediately be overwhelmed with joy at something life altering happens unexpectedly. Personally, I’m amazed she decided to keep him in the end.
Julia A People can often times mistake fetal movements as bowel movements, or the baby just isn’t that active inside the belly. There’s no reason to suspect you’re pregnant if you don’t have any symptoms of pregnancy, are consistent with your birth control, and continue to have a regular period.
Julia A Spotting can happen during a pregnancy, which can look like a light period and would be normal for someone who started receiving Depo Provera. It’s not a period because she was pregnant, but it would look like a period to someone on birth control. Also, it’s a TLC show, one that I think was canceled years ago, so the story itself is most likely fake.
Julia A Well, what can I say? It’s a fake show and I don’t think any of what happened in this video actually happened. TLC is known for that. Even if it was real and she did just ignore it like you say she did, why didn’t she just go get an abortion? It’s been legal since 1967 in the UK, and would be a lot more effective in terminating her pregnancy than alcohol and a depo shot.
I feel for her. She wasn't ready. Most mother's have 9 to 10 months to prepare for motherhood. Not just get everything ready, but to accept what their life is going to be like and get into that mentality of being ready. This was pushed on her in a matter of minutes. I would be terrified and so overwhelmed.
If you have sex period you need to be prepared for the possibility of pregnancy and having a baby. I dont know why idiots keep thinking that they’re so invincible. No matter what you do or take, as long as you have sex even anal will have a chance of pregnancy
I can understand her.. When i found out that i was pregnant i was so unhappy and wanted to undergo an abortion, but when i saw my baby on the ultrasound.. I couldn't help crying and decided that i have to keep it.. My husband is supportive as well, so I'm glad i took the right decision.. I can't wait to finally be able to hold my baby
Imagine a world where you don't automatically love the creature that was growing inside of you, without your knowledge. Oh...oh wait. Also, postpartum depression is a thing. There should be no shame not loving the baby right away.
I feel like I could experience that especially if it's unexpected. I don't like kids I don't want them and the person I had it with would have to be a part of my life for me to actually possibly keep it. Imagine the pain of being abandoned with a kid you didn't even want made by someone who doesn't even love you

A lot of the comments are ignorant. Some women have their period throughout their pregnancy. Also she's 21 so if shr wants to drink and has no reason to stay away from alcohol then she's welcome to do so, it's not like she knew and kept drinking. I used to like this show, but episodes like this make me mad. They make the mom look like the bad guy for not wanting to hold her kid she never wanted in the first place.
The process of giving birth releases hormones that make a woman attached to her baby through physical contact and exchanging each other's bodily temperature.
@@essie. Not all the time. Not every mother feels attachment to their baby (this can happen with post-partum if I'm not mistaken). They could also possibly end up hating the baby, or at least feel very detached from them. In some cases it doesn't last (edit: or it doesn't happen at all), but in others it lasts for a very long time.
Daria&Patrick Johnson this happened years ago & she received the shots in another country , it may have not been standard practice then as long as she was getting a regular period, I thought about that too
I only got a pregnancy test once before starting the shot. I wasn’t sexually active at the time of the shot and was on time with the shots.... my daughter will be 2 in February! Lol! I’m so thankful for her. If it didn’t happen like this I probably would never be a mommy as I was waiting for the prefect time. Which there isn’t! Thank God I don’t drink or do drugs! I found out when I was 22 weeks! I about sh** when I went in for an ultrasound expecting to see a peanut on the screen and there was a fully moving baby!
I think it’s called a cryptic pregnancy if that’s how you spell it bc the baby can grow in a different direction and area in the womb if that make sense where it’s less visible (the bump) but that’s what I heard from another video I’ve seen haha
@@mayabrown3741park it happens to my aunt , her and her parents did not she was pregnant before she had took a Surgery. And that was went the doctor told her parents she was pregnant 3 months.
The actually explanation is that instead of the baby being in the lower abdomen causing for the stomach to extend and grow as the baby needs the baby instead was pushed up under the rib cage so the baby continues to grow but the rib cage prevents from it extending around the baby there for no baby bump
What makes me mad is that woman with that baby that she didn't even want forced her into something that she did not want to do. If she doesn't want the baby you better bloody listen!
The only reason the nurses force you is to hold the baby is so you feel more connected to it and actually wanna keep it and not put it up for adoption lmao
ann l yes but sometimes nobody wants to adopt the child such as in this situation if the parent was an alcoholic and didn’t know they would become a parent. It could lead to problems when the child grows up if the parent was addicted to nicotine the child could get ill without nicotine.
It's likely that you would feel differently after the delivery. Your hormone levels adjust to create a bond between mother and child, and usually create a rush of euphoria after the child is born.
Which is actually fucking horrible. The second she said “no I don’t want to” the nurse should have fucking listened, and respected her. Instead she said “you NEED to” and shoved the baby in her arms. I don’t care if there was a good outcome to this, this is yet another example of directly disrespecting a woman when she says “no”
Why do all women in the UK look like they came out of 1999-2010? Edit- Jesus that's alot of likes.. also I appolgise if anyone found my comment disrespectful in anyway it was mostly a fun joke that I found funny
My niece's mother refused to hold her. She had everyone else hold her first even before doing skin to skin. She ended up doing skin to skin with just her father. The hospital was insisting and she wasn't having it. She's not in her now 9 year old daughter's life now and I genuinely think she had a disconnect with her since birth.
The problem with alcohol and pregnancy is that the damage may not show up until the child is 7 years old or even older. FAS is a life long disability. There needs to be a massive educational campaign to warn women about the effects of this because it’s greatest impact happens very early in pregnancy 🥺
A massive educational campaign doesn’t matter if they don’t know. And I know twins with fetal alcohol syndrome, it was very obvious from the start something was wrong with them, and that disgusting mother CHOSE to keep drinking. Eventually got the kids taken away.

I'm glad both came out healthy in the end, and that she managed to find happiness in such an unexpected event. I wouldn't have suspected pregnancy either under her circumstances, I can't imagine the shock of finding out while at the end of labor.
I can see even from a mother’s point of view, if I found out that day I was pregnant and in labor and then they tried to hand me my baby I couldn’t immediately hold it mentally, I wouldn’t have had the time to emotionally and mentally prepare for a baby as well as financially and physically be ready because babies are A LOT of work.
Denial of pregnancy, it's pretty rare but there are cases where you're either so sure you can't get pregnant (because you're on birth control, sterile ect) that you won't notice you're pregnant, or you so don't want to be pregnant that unconsciously, your brain and body will suppress any symptoms of pregnancy, no morning sickness, periods still going on and the foetus developing in ways that you won't have a baby bum. This happens more often than people think and its unreasonable to assume a woman would constantly be checking for pregnancy if there were 0 signs of it
ok even if she had inverted uterus..didn't she notice her missed periods?

I was looking at the comments waiting for someone
I see all these people giving her a hard time in the comments but literally think about it
She finds out she’s pregnant 19 minutes before she has the child, she didn’t want a child beforehand, and wasn’t mentally, emotionally, or financially ready at all. That’s such a huge responsibility and life decision shoved into your face in the span of 20 minutes. Y’all shouldn’t expect her to immediately be overwhelmed with joy at something life altering happens unexpectedly.
Personally, I’m amazed she decided to keep him in the end.
Thanks Vaggie, very cool
Madison S. Please don’t call me Vaggie.

Periods are the uterine lining shedding. If you had your period during pregnancy, you’d lose the baby. Yes, they can bleed and cramp, but it’s not the menstrual cycle. :)

EliseDaSnareChick exactly it’s a woman’s choice what to do with the baby we shouldn’t be forced into something like motherhood unexpectedly

Could someone explain to me how the baby bump doesn't get formed?
The baby grows inside pressing on the back instead of outward. Weird but it happens.
It's just a miracle any explanation doesn't satisfy me
The actually explanation is that instead of the baby being in the lower abdomen causing for the stomach to extend and grow as the baby needs the baby instead was pushed up under the rib cage so the baby continues to grow but the rib cage prevents from it extending around the baby there for no baby bump
Why is everyone in the comments talking about her accent :\
And now you're talking about it
Because its unusual.
why are you that worried abt it
What makes me mad is that woman with that baby that she didn't even want forced her into something that she did not want to do. If she doesn't want the baby you better bloody listen!
The only reason the nurses force you is to hold the baby is so you feel more connected to it and actually wanna keep it and not put it up for adoption lmao
Theres nothing wrong w putting up for adoption and it's a good thing we have such a thing, lots of couples cant even carry a pregnancy.
ann l yes but sometimes nobody wants to adopt the child such as in this situation if the parent was an alcoholic and didn’t know they would become a parent. It could lead to problems when the child grows up if the parent was addicted to nicotine the child could get ill without nicotine.
I would've been pissed to be forced to accept a child I didn't know I was having
I don’t care if there was a good outcome to this, this is yet another example of directly disrespecting a woman when she says “no”
Her mixed accent sounds like those weird indie singers
Her mixed accent of American and English makes her sound Irish 🤣

The problem with alcohol and pregnancy is that the damage may not show up until the child is 7 years old or even older. FAS is a life long disability. There needs to be a massive educational campaign to warn women about the effects of this because it’s greatest impact happens very early in pregnancy 🥺
A massive educational campaign doesn’t matter if they don’t know. And I know twins with fetal alcohol syndrome, it was very obvious from the start something was wrong with them, and that disgusting mother CHOSE to keep drinking. Eventually got the kids taken away.
