    How can you not like this guy. He’s getting booed and still takes to time to greet the umpire and the catcher, after the game he said he respects the fans for booing because it shows how passionate they are, and against all odds, he actually gets me to watch dodgers games sometimes. Absolute legend.

    I think he's one of the only players in the MLB who is liked by almost every single fan base. At least for me. I don't normally like players from other teams but he's just so good and such a nice guy it's hard not to like him

      Toronto specifically boos Ohtani because in the off season his management team (allegedly) spread rumors that he intended to sign with the Blue Jays in order to make the Dodgers bump up his contract price to $700 million when it was speculated be closer to $600 million. Basically played both organizations against each other and got the Blue Jays fans' hopes up. He knows why it will be like that when he plays in Toronto.

      The shitty reporting is not why they booed him. They booed him because he used the Jays (and other teams to a lesser degree) to jack up his payday in LA when he probably knew he was going to LA all along. The Dodgers actually got used too, having to pay him a least $100 million more because of it.

Playing field is smaller, one guy can have possession of the ball much longer. In football (soccer), baseball, you can't win alone. Even in the NFL, American Football, you can win alone since QB are the difference maker. One person cannot carry the team in football or baseball, but one person can in basketball and american football.

      ​@clarkesmith. I agree with everything else except the american football part. A qb is a difference maker, but a qb needs a good WR to throw to. He needs a strong O-line to stop the defense from tackling him. He needs a runner to get those extra yards for a new set of downs. A QB can make a difference, but unless they have a decent team. The qb will get hurt

    Can’t not stop to comment how awesome and unbelievable and grateful to see a once in a lifetime talent.
    Never even thought of a pitcher doing anything with the bat, and absolutely no where within leagues of what Shohei Ohtani does on the regular and like it’s a walk in the park.
    Putting all of baseball on his back, with ease. Gah dang it, it 🤯 every time thinking about it. Thank God.

      His best year on the mound was 15-9 he's never hit 50 hr let alone 60 his lifetime avg is .277 only hitting over .300 1time barely (304).
      Ruth won 20+ games multiple times has hit 50 four times and his lifetime avg is .342. once again, stop that s#it.

I mean let's say he gets the same his career(which he won't because you're production drops as you age) so if you triple it that's 24 years to get a little over 600 hrs 1500 rbis and that .277 will drop but let's be nice and say it stays the same at .277.
      600hr 1500rbi and .277 avg. That's hall of Fame but you think he can play 24 years?
