    This was the 138th playing of “the game”. Oldest rivalry in American Football history. And I agree this game should get national attention.

      @@CyanoticFuture A lot of teams in FCS play 11 games, including Yale. Also one factor which determines who gets Division 1 status is stadium capacity and funding, both of which Yale fulfills (with the Yale Bowl and their "fuck you" money, respectively).

    • @user-co7yl3kr3t
      @user-co7yl3kr3t 2 года назад +5

      @garveydent stares down his receivers and throws into crowds, first throw in this video should've been a pick-6, egregious picks throw into triple coverage on the first 2, 3rd pick at the start of the second half he was hit as he threw but I honestly don't know how much of an impact that had on the result, the 4th and 7 half assed run into 3 defenders at the end of the game - the one time he doesn't force it into coverage is the one time it would've been justified, then gets one more opportunity because his defense gets him the ball back and on FIRST DOWN with 25 seconds left he back hands it up for grabs while being sacked, as if there were zeroes on the clock. What in the hell could possibly be his thought process behind doing that? Hopefully he's young and learns from his mistakes - he looks like he has solid arm talent, but his decision making, staring down receivers and carelessness with the ball are serious issues

    • @A350Airways
      @A350Airways 4 месяца назад

      Don't know if it still holds today, but in the late 1980s, even a team who only have 3-4 college prospects can go relatively deep into the Texas 5A playoffs (there was no 6A yet at the time): you only need to look at 1988 Permian and they managed to go to the semifinals with only 3 D1 prospects: Ivory Christian (TCU), Brian Chavez (signed at Harvard, but didn't play) and Mike Winchell (Brown; did not sign and ultimately walked on at Baylor)
      IIRC even the best Texas HS teams can't send everyone to even D1 FCS.
