well as usual the pros make it seem so simple i got messed up at the dvd or cd player where small piece of plastic snapped but not that important i finally got the player back in after changing the battery but the screw holding it down wouldnt catch anything but i never use it anyway also had 2 tiny screws left over from the backside of battery but it still seems to be firmly in place oh well its rare for me to not have a few screws leftover after doing a job i just hope the battery works thanks tc

Regarding your battery gutting hot: it's because the charger is a 19V but 3.3amp get a better and stronger charger with 19v 6amp, it will be more expensive but it will be able to charger and power on the laptop without getting hot, the laptop requires 2amp+ to run and when the battery is under 50% it will require about 3amp to charge it self. so 2 for battery and 2 for laptop to power ON total 4amp, and having a charger with 3.3amp it will over heat and over time it will die (charger only).
other option is to charger the battery with laptop turned off this way the charger will only charge the battery once it's charge then power on with charger plugged in and it will only be used to power on the laptop and not charging the laptop because it will be 100%.
Should you have any further questions or requests in the future, please don't hesitate to ask me.
      cheers🍻

About your question, I've actually talked about the screwdrivers and screw bits used right from the start of the video. You can catch that at around @0:47.
For upgrading SSD, I've got you covered with a step-by-step guide in this video: ruclips.net/video/uIvj7ibPHsk/видео.html
And just to mention again, at @1:24 , I talked about the screwdriver you'll need.
If you've got more questions or anything else you need in the future, feel free to give me a shout. Happy to help!

Really good and easy to follow but unfortunately i dont have anything like a guitar pic, and used a dull kitchen knife LOL but that felt too risky so i screwed everything back up. I've had my HP touchscreen 15-dy5033dx for maybe 2.5 weeks. Any idea why the battery has gone bad so quick? Just an unlucky batch maybe? It just simply stopped at 6% and will only run if plugged in. Which is fine, it stays at a desk. I will have to take this brat to a tech i guess. Good video regardless.

Omg how funny, just wanted to come back and say that it appears just threatening to split it open, scared it enough to start charging 🤣 I started it back up and yep already at 10% haha!!

Regarding your issues , HAHAHAHA 🤣 im glad that you got it charging , sometime the PD charge component on board does get stock on close loop and once you remove or disconnect the battery and plug the charger in and then as the charger is plugged in you connect the battery the gate will open and start charging again. it is a common issues with all laptops.

hi! I replaced the battery of my HP 14s and it won't boot unless the AC is plugged in. It shows CMOS checksum error (502) then boots up after several seconds. This happens everytime after shutting down the laptop for several minutes. I tried putting the old main battery back and the problem disappeared. it booted up normally. i put the new battery back and the problem came back. What are your thoughts on this? Thank you.

regarding your question: this happens a lot to our client when they get a fake pirated battery and not original. get a original a better quality battery. because the batteries do have a electronic board on them, and the cheap versions have this issue, they do not give the 3v to bios. because the bios (cmos) takes the charge 3v from main battery. thats why you get that cmos msg , and that msg its only annoying not harmful.
