I actually love the street fighter the movie & the game. On any platform. Battlearena was a game I liked better when it first came out. I like final fight revenge just because it's a 3d capcom game on the Saturn in 1999. Mind blowing back in the day.
I don't think the library is bad. The prices are just too high on a majority of the fun games and you will have to do most of your shopping online or at conventions. Not exactly casual collecting or fun. My buddy has a pretty good Saturn collection and it's usually what I choose to play when we hang out since I can't afford some of the games he got when they were still reasonable.

I agree the Saturn version of Virtua Racing is good. The Genesis version I feel like actually controls much much better but overall the Saturn version has more options and features which slightly gives it the edge. I unfortunately don't own the 32x version but I hear that version is a better version of the Genesis version but it lacks the extra features of the Saturn version.

New intro!? I actually miss the little Outrun car already! :D Good to see some love for the "B Games". Definitely agree regarding Virtua Racing though. Sega at this point were still focussed on "Arcade perfect" being the dream as it was in the 16 bit era. Sony didn't have arcade heritage, so didn't give a crap about that. Sega did catch up with the Dreamcast, hence some of the Naomi ports like Virtua Tennis and Crazy Taxi having incredible home versions. But again, they were a generation behind the curve :(
i got toshiden ura on the saturn ending era where it was so difficult to find any games at retail, and i loved it. it even had 2 hidden boss battles that where tough, that kept me coming back
I'd include Sonic R too. Use the shoulder buttons in conjunction with the directional input for sharp turns; alone for gentle turns; both at once for a hard brake. Don't use directionals for acceleration, but the button acceleration instead. It's not hard, folks.
Great games selection. I really like Toshinden URA on the console, there are many codes to unlock characters, the intro video is superb, and I like the gameplay. Also Virtua Racing, In the Hunt or Sonic 3D are games I also enjoyed.
It’s all a matter of opinions and it matters what the gamer thinks of the game, their perception of it! Not every game is playable but I truly believe even the worst game can be desirable to someone.
I'm probably one of the few people who actually enjoyed playing "Sonic 3D Blast" back in the day, and I still enjoy playing it every now and then while considering it to be one of the most underrated titles in the franchise. :)
I've always said SF the Movie game was not that bad. Its like a reskinned SSF 2 Turbo with additional mechanics. Looks like ass but plays fine. Great video. I like the more relaxed "steaming" style of this one with your commentary. Glad to see new videos from you!
The best part of the Sega Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast was the 3D chaos emerald stages. It made me wish there was a true 3D Sonic game for the system. Heck, I would have been very happy with a 2D side-scrolling Sonic game, since the Saturn was very powerful with 2D, and maybe still having 3D bonus stages. In short, Sonic Mania for the Saturn. I'll never understand why Sega made some of the decisions they made.
I believe the reason for Toshinden's appeal was and still is the strong art direction for the characters. It creates a strong personality that transcends the extremely average gameplay. I guess it pays to have your characters designed by an excellent manga artist😉 Music was pretty rockin' too.
Loved this video. I enjoyed seeing your opinion on some of the games shown but also how I disagreed with a few things you said. I enjoyed the fact that I could argue or debate on a few of these games (In the Hunt, particularly) but I always tell people, regardless of what I or anyone says, you would be doing an injustice to not try games out for yourself. Good and Bad experiences are what makes up a life in gaming. Thank you for this!
I saw "5hit combo" and it looked like "sh@t combo". Yeah, the combo looked pretty bad but ya gotta think we as humans can't shoot fireballs out of our cracks then launch a samurai sword we hid in our pocket.
This is a really good video. I like these sort of discussions where someone shares their appreciation for b-tier videogames that are often dismissed as trash. I'm reminded of Pauline Kael who often praised the virtues of "movie trash," and believe there must be a videogame cousin to that. And you can easily find far worse Saturn titles than the ones shown here. I'm a little surprised that you considered Zero Divide for this compilation. I consider that game an A-tier title that stands tall with the best 3D fighters on the console (VF Remix, VF2, Fighting Vipers, Megamix, Last Bronx, DOA, Anarchy). It remains obscure, which is a bit puzzling, but that's probably better for collectors as it keeps the prices low. Finally, I have a lot of love for Saturn Virtua Racing. That's probably because I played it when it was new, during a very cold and snowy winter of 95/96. The added cars and tracks are excellent and I wish Sega would bring those courses back. The game has a classic Atari feel and I always enjoy playing. Yes, the visuals are a little thick and chunky, but we've seen far worse. This title deserves an HD remake.
Zero Divide is the game that makes me question why we never got a four legged Motaro for Mortal Kombat Armageddon. Zero Divide had some multi-legged, non-bipedal characters. Motaro became a minotaur. :(
Man in the mid 90s I really thought Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation were pretty even, I loved both of em equally (preordered PS; picked up Saturn a few months later so I guess I'm more partial to PS), but now it's easy to see how much better the PS is over the poor Sega. I wish I kept all my old systems instead I gave them all away... Great video.
If I may add one more game, I feel the Saturn port of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night gets a bad reputation. Yeah, the port is subpar and that really shouldn't have happened on a 2-D powerhouse console like the Saturn but it's still...fun? I get a bit jealous that we never got to play as that version's Maria anywhere else. And I did want to explore those Saturn exclusive areas (even if Koji Igarashi insists it's non-canon). Unfortunately, the devs that were in charge of the port just didn't really get the Saturn. A lot of the game is using VDP1, when it should've been using VDP2. Background details that are never interacted with or are barely noticeable could've been culled in order to improve performance.
To me personally you mentioned a few nice games here. I definitely remember the slowdown in In the Hunt but man it was a fun game. I've also had alot of fun with Street Fighter TM.
Loved this list! I agree with you about all of these, and it seems like the commonality between most of them are "looks pretty bad, but plays well." One game I would throw into that same category that I see people online dogging on all the time was "Iron Man - XO Manowar". Yes, the graphics are pretty terrible, but the coop experience is what makes that game fun. When you have two players trying to coordinate their actions to keep from getting killed by the environment and each other, the gameplay honestly reminds me of 2-player Contra, and I had a ton of fun with it with my friends.
I was unaware that Crypt Killer was commonly thought to be a bad game, i bought it a few years back and had a lot of fun playing it, Gale Racer is also a perfectly playable game and just like you say "it has Sega DNA in there" so its really a must for any fan of Sega racing games, as is Virtua Racing thinking about it.
That forest in Crypt Killer gave me Castlevania64 vibes, and then I saw that the game was made by Konami :) (keep in mind I was multitasking so I'm not sure if he mentioned it at the start of Crypt Killer segment)
Kind of off the subject. But. I absolutely love the Street Fighter movie in all its corniness. The scene where Raul Julia gives that speech. Wow. Love it so much. The fact that Raul Julia played M Bison because his kids loved the game. That just adds to the lore of that movie. And I thought the game was fun to play. Love the channel.
Another amazing video man! Thanks for the continuing great content. In the hunt is a great game. I’ve been searching for a copy. It’s a beautiful shmup!
Excellent video! Really enjoyed seeing some lesser loved Saturn games in more detail. Although, always enjoyed In The Hunt, Virtua Racing & Galaxy Force II. Was put off Rad Mobile though exactly as you say.
Great to see you back SLX. I loved Sonic 3D back in the day, the music especially I think is superb. The graphics also are solid with some great transparency effects going on.
i play it on Genesis and it's the best Sonic i ever played. i don't like the side-scrolling ones as you never see what you're running into. The 3D one i can take my time and explore.
Big fan of Sonic 3D Blast. The Saturn version is the main version IMO because the graphical upgrades significantly change the atmosphere of the game. And 3D polygon bonus stages look great. BUT most of all it has IMO one of the best game soundtracks of all time, at least for me personally. Jacques score is just so nostalgic for me. 3D Blast was one of the first titles I got for my Saturn back in 1996 and to this day I will listing to Rusty Ruin and Diamond Dust level music on RUclips. The gameplay itself is a good bit of fun. And still to this day I can pop it in and run through the game fairly quick.
The major issue for me is that a lot of the common games are pretty average in retrospect, especially in the US. It's been tough to find decent games for a decent price and that makes it rough to collect for the Saturn. I can find better games at a cheaper price on other platforms in this current video game economy. PlayStation is way easier to get into, to this day.
Pretty much. Despite a few missing frames on the 2D stuff The PlayStation is so much easier to still collect for and playing on the right setup(CRT, RGB,) you're not missing much. Your wallet will thank you.
Saturn is still a great console with many exclusives worth playing. Sure the PS1 was the best of that generation, but I'll take the Saturn over the MEH64 any day.
I don't know if you will see this, but I want you to know your vids are awesome! I've learned so much about and tried so many sega games. Keep up the good work!
Sonic 3D Blast suffers from feelings of massive disappointment rather than terrible quality. Graphically, it has aged well for the era, the sound track is good, and as you said, the gameplay is simple. Good in short bursts. I'm willing to bet that if this wasn't a Sonic game it would be a cult classic or a hidden gem.
I completely agree with all you say especially virtua racing. I can’t agree with sonic 3D that game was unplayable for me. It caused me motion sickness and I could never even give it a chance
I was honestly disappointed when I bought my Saturn version of Street Fighter: The Movie back in the day as I was expecting a port of the arcade version, much like you were. Yes, I think I am the only person who actually liked that game and would love to own a cabinet of it. The game was so broken it was actually fun, provided you were playing against another person. Special moves did not have cooldown and you could do one right into another, throw counters, new moves like Sagat's hypnotizing eye, and more. The home ports were morphed into Super Turbo which was not a bad thing, just not what I was expecting on top of the visual downgrade. BTW, I liked how this video seemed less scripted out vs your previous videos. The casual tone and delivery seemed more relaxed, more of like you were just chatting with us vs trying to make a presentation. Keep it up!
I'm one of those people who didn't like it, LOL. However, it's good to hear that the game has its fans. Different strokes for different folks, and all that!
@@JetWolfEX I actually had a very good time with "Holy Ark". I agree with you, though, that it could have been more than it was. Character development (plot-wise) was very lacking, and characters felt very locked in certain "roles" they had to play in combat. However, the gameplay was just so satisfying! The music was terrific, too, and I liked quite a few of the dungeon designs. Probably not a "classic for all time" across video games, but definitely a worthwhile game for Saturn and dungeon crawler enthusiasts. As an aside, my brother once pointed out that "Golden Sun" on the GBA did everything "Holy Ark" did, but a bit better. I think he's right, so that might be a good substitute to try out for anyone who can't afford the now-overinflated price of "Holy Ark".
I think the main problem SF movie had was even though it plays like SSF2T it lacked the actual feel of the game because of the weird hit detection and animations used. I personally didn't mind seeing the actors from the movie playing SF characters but the animations and hit detection just didn't help so the game took more heat than it should have. Fist.........so glad I didn't buy that game even though I heard it was a follow up to Pretty Fighter X. PFX might not be the best fighter too but it's way better than Fist and shouldn't be ignored just because people didn't like the original version on snes.
Fist wasn't that bad. It felt more like it was just lacking a lot. Every time I played the game it always felt like a severe bare bones Virtua Fighter clone to me. It just needed more moves and stuff. But the music was good at least.
Thanks for giving honest opinions. For me, since I try to keep all the major bases covered, I will get the "best" version, but it's good to know that the lesser versions on one of my favorite consoles aren't as bad as people hype them up to be.
That’s what often happens Sega Lord X. They judge based on the graphics instead of gameplay, even if it might not impede the game from being fun in anyway. And then they follow it up with an example of a truly awful game that anyone could agree has graphics that don’t help the gameplay (at least in my experience when I bring up games that are totally fine). This dismissive attitude I almost want to say comes from the idea that maybe those dismissing it have been spoiled by having only played games deemed great or perfect (subjective). I often see modern games that are perfectly functional, graphically great, and in no way boring with a perfect base on fundamentals for gameplay, get bashed on heavily and compared to a similar or entirely different title. I often shake my head to these people since it only tells me that they have never experienced what an actual bad game is like if they believe a good or great game is bad. Of course, in the end, everyone has a different cup of tea, and perhaps some like their tea looking and seeming expensive, but is actually just as common as any other tea under its exterior.
17:10 Thank you! I still have my copy of this game. My only complaint with it is the slightly slow loading times, but that's to be expected because it's a disc port.
I love Virtua Racing...... on 32X. But, I played a lot the Saturn game, because it add a ton of new features like modes, cars, tracks, and have a wheel compatibility!!! The new tracks are great, and the kart is very fun to play with the wheel.
I enjoyed the subject and the vid itself. I also once naysay'd Saturn VR; but I changed my opinion 10 years ago when I replayed it and found it had all those good qualities that you mentioned. It loses the fast arcade Sega feel that the 32x version nailed, but all the extra content and extra polygons and colors make it a fun 1-player Saturn game.
No Sega consoles?! At least get a Genesis, not difficult, or expensive to collect for. Saturn is getting expensive to collect for, glad I acquired most of my collection years ago. Dreamcast isn't too bad to collect for, many games are still affordable.
5:03 Who is Sawada? I don't recall seeing them in the film but they were in the game version of Street Fighter The Movie. I expect Fei Long fans sour on the game due to the fact that of the 16 fighters in Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers only Fei Long is missing from both the Street Fighter The Movie film and the Street Fighter The Movie game. Akuma/Gouki wouldn't debut in the series until Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo (Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers' sequel in the Street Fighter 2 videogames saga).
I'd go a step further and say the SF The Movie for Saturn is better than the arcade game, which felt too much like a cheap MK/Street Fighter hybrid, as you mention. Final Fight Revenge isn't nearly the worst fighting game on the Saturn, but it's damn sure the strangest. A US-developed game that only released in Japan, and required a peripheral that also didn't come out in Japan. However, critics tend to thumb their nose at anything "different," as evidenced by critical rejection of the Street Fighter EX series or the action spinoffs of Syndicate and X-Com. Krypt Killer isn't a GREAT lightgun game, and it's clearly a lazy/ugly PSX port, but it's nowhere near the worst light gun game. It's not Virtua Cop, but it's a serviceable light gun game. Like Street Fighter the Movie, and Final Fight Revenge, it's all right. There seems to be a theme here.... Racing games are ALWAYS going to have an issue on console, especially when you only have the option of digital control. The decision to go with polygon cars is stupid, given the Saturn's strengths were as a 2D powerhouse, but I don't see a particularly BAD racing game here. I'd give it a go, if nothing else. It's not Outrun, sure, but it's not Frisco Heat either. Sonic 3D Blast, yeah, I have to agree, it's a fun enough game. It's not a true Sonic game by ANY measure, and yeah, it's a Genesis port, but it's not a quick-and-dirty port. A lot of effort went into improving the renders and making the game look prettier, though you ARE right that it's a 16-bit game on a 32-bit platform, and emblematic of Sega neglecting Sonic in the 32-bit era. I have to disagree about it being "for kids," as it requires a fair bit of patience and curiosity to find all the flickes, especially in the later stages. There's no excuse for In The Hunt to slow down the way it does. Even the stock Saturn was better at 2D than the PlayStation. If you can, it's clear you should get the PlayStation version. That said, it's playable enough if you don't have the ability to play the PSX version. Virtua Racing isn't bad at all. None of the home versions had a lot going for them, at least not on the contemporary systems. I'll play this over the Genesis or 32X any day. Toshinden URA resolved the most urgent issue with Toshinden, Remix, and Toshinden 2 - the speed. URA is a hell of a lot faster than the predecessors, and felt a lot snappier than a lot of 3D fighting games of the time, (obviously bar Tekken and DOA). And it retained the Toshinden 2 soundtrack, which is still my favorite fighting game soundtrack! Can't really speak to Galaxy Force 2, but it certainly looks hella nice on its own. Not being arcade perfect isn't the same as being BAD. And now, we come to the real issue, which is that people don't know how to give any nuance in their reviewing of games. Due in part to the nature of the internet and the mainstreaming of the 7-10 scale in reviewing, people don't know how to differentiate a game that's shit from a game that's all right without being amazing. And that's really the issue with these games, and many others that people casually look down on as "bad." In most cases, they're not. They're not the greatest games, but they're good enough fun to be had. As Caesar said in History of the World part 1, they're nice. Not THRILLING, but nice.
Are we Saturn fans the only ones that obsess over which games are "not that bad"? Man, we must get a lot of disrespect from the more popular console fans!
@Xavi Galarza Hang out on Reddit and talk Saturn there all day is one thing. I know how you feel my top machines are Saturn and Sega CD. That's why this channel is an Oasis.
The PS1 was better than the Saturn, but the Saturn was still a great console, definetly better than the N64 (meh). The Dreamcast was great for it's time, solid library for it's short run, had Sega not abandoned it, I suspect it would have been the second best of it's generation, I still think the PS2 would have still won though.
A game I loved back in my teens was "cyber sled " its basically a wipeout clone but without the ott rollercoaster type courses, but more similar to f-zero. Worth a look lord X never heard any body ever mention it ever.
Nice to see a personal presentation that is Also quite a bit in depth, In the Hunt looks good for me, and to my eyes and need to take Control of things in my own time as I need to take my time it happens as such that it looks to be right up my Alley. What I however wanted to Point out is that I have been struck with very affectionate feelings when I saw some guy play SONIC 3D on Saturn on a ferry ride to Åland. Now I sent my father to get it for MEGA D and he could not find it at the time, but I have owned PC version and nowadays I own the Saturn version for me it is one of the best game experiences I have ever had especially when one can explore and roam around when time is not an issue, I am a fine tuned fan of Willy Wombat also, but I have not played it for long for when I recieved it I had a laser lense dying in my Saturn Unit by then but I love the groove and Little details and played it in a worry free I own VR for 32x and have owned the MEGA D version prior to this but I do not feel drawn to the Saturn version in a megnetic way, I still have the trouble with Sharp turns in most racing games and have no cooridation capabilities to go seriously into using a steering Wheel, however the flow is stable on the 32x version but what I like is time attack mode, I feel more in the groove when I DO NOT have to feel the pressure of getting extra check Point time bonus, it is to hectic for me. Only Racing game I have for Saturn is Sega Rally I used to own THE NEED FOR SPEED, but it was never really what I wanted, the time I got it I was intially out to get Wipeout, and next racing game I will get will be destruction derby, I have memories when my cousins brought it from Ireland to here one summer and we played it dos based, and enjoyed it in an easy going way, it would be nice to have it for Saturn as I said with Die Hard Trilogy, and which is the case with the flow of Sonic 3D, having a controller and motion flow that one is comfortable with is very important for the entire experience, I think.

Sonic 3d blast could have been amazing if it had track ball support and 2 player simultaneous/split screen. It kind of has that Marble Madness vibe.
Or if it was in true 3D *like the special stages it has* but out of the 3 versions of Sonic 3D *Genesis/Saturn/PC* the Saturn is the best version.

Is that a GameCube in your profile pic? LoL
BeeTeeCee _ yes a GameCube with eyes and smoking a blunt
@@Sega_is_all_i_cd I want to hang out with that gamecube.
Nice gamer chair you have. Thanks for the video.
I'm probably one of the few people who actually enjoyed playing "Sonic 3D Blast" back in the day, and I still enjoy playing it every now and then while considering it to be one of the most underrated titles in the franchise. :)
Thanks for doing something creative and different. This is a refreshing new list
I've always said SF the Movie game was not that bad. Its like a reskinned SSF 2 Turbo with additional mechanics. Looks like ass but plays fine.
Great video. I like the more relaxed "steaming" style of this one with your commentary. Glad to see new videos from you!
It's not like a reskinned ssf2t, it IS a reskinned ssf2t. 😂
@@ikuzoburandeon I guess I was thinking of the additions, like the shadow moves. But you're right, essentially the same game.
2:13...looks like it says "Shit Combo". The game was trying to tell you.
You, Sir, are one of my favorite RUclipsrs. You're one of the only channels that I turn my notifications on for.
I believe the reason for Toshinden's appeal was and still is the strong art direction for the characters. It creates a strong personality that transcends the extremely average gameplay. I guess it pays to have your characters designed by an excellent manga artist😉 Music was pretty rockin' too.
I enjoy 3D blast on Saturn more than most Sonic games, it's probably a controversial opinion, but I can't help liking what I like.
I was kind of hoping that M2 would use some of the content in the Switch game. Karts in that would have been awesome.
Agreed. A decent port of an outstanding game is still a *great* game.
It's still the only version I've played, and I had a good experience.
I think I’ve watched all your content by now, but, for whatever reason, this is my favorite game review/compilation you’ve done.
“Fist” lol.
Loved playing In The Hunt and had many good times playing Manx TT with friends loved playing with the sheep
To me personally you mentioned a few nice games here. I definitely remember the slowdown in In the Hunt but man it was a fun game. I've also had alot of fun with Street Fighter TM.
People dislike the Saturn port of Galaxy Force II? That's news to me, IMO despite the reduced framerate the port is still very enjoyable.
Am I the only one that actually appreciates some slowdown in my retro shmups? Gives it a bit of a boost, or rather a reduction int he difficulty!
sometimes I love the slowdown
I loved it too, it was a great game!
i play it on Genesis and it's the best Sonic i ever played.
i don't like the side-scrolling ones as you never see what you're running into.
FANTASTIC as always.. I hang out for your Sega videos man.. thank you.
Appreciate the post, Teddy.
Go for a a japanese saturn a lot of gems, a fraction of the US price.
I don't know if you will see this, but I want you to know your vids are awesome! I've learned so much about and tried so many sega games. Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I appreciate the comment. :)
Holy crap he’s alive! Welcome back Mel!
FFR reminds of Rival School for the PS. Looks A LOT like it!!!
I'd likely agree. The Sonic stamp is no doubt the genesis of it disappointment....
The game had and still does receive massive blowback for what it wasn't, Sonic Xtreme.
lol how many weeds did you smonke before recording this
wow your presenting skills have massively improved from this time period
I completely agree with all you say especially virtua racing. I can’t agree with sonic 3D that game was unplayable for me. It caused me motion sickness and I could never even give it a chance
Sonic 3D, to me, played like the 80's game "Marble Madness"!
Keep it up!
Thanks for the feedback. :)
I love Sonic 3D blast.. it's a spruced up version of the Gen/MD game and that's good for me as I loved that.
Two videos on the same day? The algorithm will punish you.
people say shining wisdom is one of the worst shining games. but for me it is the only shining game I could get into
I'm one of those people who didn't like it, LOL.
And it seems kind of silly to play a game based on a movie based on a game vs. playing the original game that's higher quality anyway.
Do you remember Last Bronx? Do that game. That game is a true gem💎
Needed a seizure warning for Henry Explorers.
I can never see or play the game rad mobile without thinking of the movie Encino man. Weezin the juice, nugs, chillin & grindin!
Enjoying the hell out of your content dude, and I've never even owned a Sega console (I'm familiar with a lot of their games though).
17:10 Thank you! I still have my copy of this game. My only complaint with it is the slightly slow loading times, but that's to be expected because it's a disc port.
2:27 SHIT COMBO. Sagat: Um, alright. I'm trying my best ok? ***sob***
I love Virtua Racing...... on 32X. But, I played a lot the Saturn game, because it add a ton of new features like modes, cars, tracks, and have a wheel compatibility!!! The new tracks are great, and the kart is very fun to play with the wheel.
Interesting, sounds like you took a more unscripted approach to this one than usual, I like it!
I enjoyed the subject and the vid itself. I also once naysay'd Saturn VR; but I changed my opinion 10 years ago when I replayed it and found it had all those good qualities that you mentioned. It loses the fast arcade Sega feel that the 32x version nailed, but all the extra content and extra polygons and colors make it a fun 1-player Saturn game.
dang you're spoiling us with these long uploads man haha
also happy 420th comment
I don't even play Sega or have any Sega consoles or anything but I still watch these
I think I would do that, too. Sega Lord X is sort of my therapist.
No Sega consoles?! At least get a Genesis, not difficult, or expensive to collect for. Saturn is getting expensive to collect for, glad I acquired most of my collection years ago. Dreamcast isn't too bad to collect for, many games are still affordable.
Given how complex programming effectively for the Saturn was, it's amazing most games ran as well as they did.
Does Virtua Racing have split screen multiplayer?
I had the same experience with Street fighter the movie. Great video as always!!
Have you played another Saturn Fighting game named D-Xhird made by the same people who made Battle Arena Toshinden series?
In The Hunt looks like a Neo Geo game.
yup, it's a submarine shmup, with Metal Slug graphics
Great video as always, in the hunt is one of my grail games that I need to get still.
Just found you're channel and as a sega fan boy of old im thankful that i did.
This is the list for the Saturn mini?
Glad to see My Lord looks healthy and fine ...
lol
Gotta fight for the games that have no voice.
@@SegaLordX I hear you...Iron Man/X-O Manowar gets my vote for best "hidden mediocre gem"!
The Dreamcast was great for it's time, solid library for it's short run, had Sega not abandoned it, I suspect it would have been the second best of it's generation, I still think the PS2 would have still won though.
for some reason, FF revenge reminds me of SF Ex & Rival Schools, btw.
A game I loved back in my teens was "cyber sled " its basically a wipeout clone but without the ott rollercoaster type courses, but more similar to f-zero. Worth a look lord X never heard any body ever mention it ever.
idk but i loved playing all summer in the 90's street fighter the movie and BA thoshinden.. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE GIVEAWAY ? did it passed already.?
