The earliest Dylan I bought (beginning 1965) didn't have paper inner sleeves. Instead it was a sealed plastic "sleeve".

Thanks for the video. Just ordered mine for $215 CAD after it had been sitting at $245 for what seemed like forever. Still a hell of a lot more expensive in Canada, even with this sale. I only own four of Dylan's albums (all in stereo), so I'm really excited for this set. It's a bit of a shame that Nashville Skyline wasn't included, but I suppose by 1969 stereo had more or less taken over as the main format.

@@StillSpinning3 I have the 2007 Stereo reissue of Blood on the Tracks, and I think it sounds fantastic. It's easily one of the best sounding albums I own. I've heard it's even comparable to the MoFi release.

When I bought the first Dylan LPs (in 1965), they didn't have paper inner sleeve. The LPs were in a sealed plastic "sleeve". And those are not the original labels.

Love your unboxing videos. Any way you will be doing the Rolling Stones in Mono box set unboxing. They are after all one the greatest bands on earth. Keep up with these great videos. You do great work, my friend. Bob Dylan is another artist that will go down as the poet laureate / songwriter /visionary of rock that will go down as being the one whom of which we shall never see again once he departs from this world. Long live Bob. Many classics. Love his folk period but especially his electric one.

got mine and sounds great but I have different inner sleeves - those RTI clear plastic ones. what does this mean?
What kind of inner sleeves do you have?
@@StillSpinning3 you know those clear plastic type ones? im not sure how to describe them but they do have a premium feel to them - they're like a soft plastic that ive seen in other RTI pressings. instead of being the lined inner sleeves you got. they are just a clear plastic material
Might be a stupid question , Did you listen to this box set with a Mono Cart or Stereo Cart? How was the sound quality? Thanks
I use a Shure m97xe and an Ortofon Red 2M and they sound great to me.

the mono mobile fidelity versions blow these out of the water sound wise
The problem with the mofi versions is the price. This box set was a little over $100. To get the mofi version of these will cost nearly $1000.
'Blow these out of the water' is an exaggeration, considering most would agree these ones sound amazing. This box is $160 in 2021, ridiculous deal considering The Beatles/Stones box prices have skyrocketed out of sight..
Yeah I think you'd take back your words if you actually listened to them. I own both and your comment is pretty nonsense, especially BIABH and H61 where I think this box sounds better than the MOFI mono's
@@Matasky2010 The Beatles in Mono boxset was a limited release and now scalpers have them listed for over $4500 CAD on Amazon. Even the Beatles in Stereo boxset (which isn't a limited release as far as I'm aware) is listed at $650 CAD on Amazon which is an absolute robbery.

Thanks! This is a solid box set. I’m glad some of these videos are helping folks get a glimpse of what to expect. That was my intention for making them. I always like to see what I’m getting before I buy it especially if shelling out $100+
