I've made tons of cool music on a computer. But nothing compares to the fun and inspiration you get when you sit/stand in front of an MPC. There's something magical about those machines. It takes a bit to get used to the pads at first. When I first started I though I had to really pound them. You don't. I'm fact pounding them often leads to unintentional double hits. You're better off lightly tapping or swiping the pads. You can get some really cool grooves just swiping alone.
@slaponomics Plenty of people in NYC still ride the subway Doctors,Lawyers etc. The stress of driving in the city is not worth it, when the subway can take you just about any where.
