      BeatBay fortunately you do find the same type of plugins that use the same type of algorithms on that level. Which is nice, because DAWs like FL Studio don't matter. It's all about your own way of treating the synthesizers, FL Studio is just a place to find all those ways together in one place.

    • @IRevos
      @IRevos 9 лет назад +9

      BeatBay its just an interface. its how you use it and not what you use

    I just damn near fell out of my seat, big ups to anyone who can rip the shit out of a MPC, especially to take the time out to do it live & show there is no gimmick or ANY hype to what can be done without a computer. That set was fucking incredible, & just to watch his focus & determination, now imagine that going into 20-25 songs for an album, or an instrumental mixtape...I started DJing in 1990 at 7 years old, & was brought up around the music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, etc, & was also part of an Underground Hip-Hop crew...so I love the old school shit, always, & back then that machine is what used & to have a new age producer incorporate that machine to make new sounds is innovative, for anyone who thinks AraabMuzik is overrated needs to either go back from under the rock you just crawled from under or get with the times, because what he did live, was incredible, love the passion, don't knock it.

J Dilla used MPC and previous to that Roland SP-XXX line (like SP-303) - not saying he might not ever had used FL (which I highly doubt) but he did not "only" FL at all... 9th Wonder though, started using only FL and was famous for that and later on he got an MPC 2500 and now uses a Maschine Studio.

    "The sound is warmer" wtf does that even mean

    • @Inhaleblackexhaleblue
      @Inhaleblackexhaleblue 9 лет назад +6

      AreTeeKay He's talking about how every sample takes up more of the soundscape compared to producing on fruity loops or something, because every sample is already optimized on the MPC. If you're working with fruity loops, you have to optimize every sample one by one to make them take up the full soundscape like the MPC does.

      I love Dilla My G he Made the Pharcyde Beat "DROP" but the Best IMO are Premo, RZA, Pete Rock, Dr.Dre

    • @bigboyvit
      @bigboyvit 10 лет назад

      Dilla is a legend how can you make a list of great producers without Dilla thats insane my friend Legendary producers who entirely changed the Game were Pete rock,Dilla,Primo,Dre,RZA and 9th wonder to be the last one.But we still have youngins in the circle like Statik Selektah Alchemist and others who raised there flags in 2004.

      bigboyvit mbiko in my opinion dre didnt change the game. in essence if you consider utilizing leads as a major driving point in his production style during the nwa/death row days then i would agree because nobody else had that sound. BUT, dre is known for taking other producers beats and calling them his. just like puff daddy and a few others.

    For those wondering he grabs on to those faders for a reason.
    Hes holding the MPC back from running away from the beating he gives it.

    Plus, 9th Wonder made some of his nicest shit on Fruity Loops, which is 10 times better than the shit you spin on the radio (which is also probably made in FL)
