Yeah it doesnt really matter the order of operations, as long as he is added to your family group on your microsoft account, and you end up signed into the store and he ends up signed into the Xbox app its fine. Hope you and your son have some fun playing games together
No, they have to be signed into the non owners Microsoft Store only way it actually works unfortunately. Has to be someone you trust 100%. Be safe out there

At no point do they need any passwords or any info, just the owner need to share that info, so owner is pretty much 100% the only one at risk. i have no idea how Xcloud works you could def make a second account and share with yourself but im not sure on the cloud interaction. Things like EA Play dont work for the person receiving it so i FEEL like it may not but i can not confirm that
do it on the PC of whoever doesnt have the gamepass. Really you could do part at one part at another as ling as the receiver can sign in and out freely. But if you are just setting the whole thing up for your daughter just use her PC cause thats where she is gonna have to sign into the xbox app to confirm it works.

That's because this isn't the official way to link two accounts with Game Pass, that thing was removed a few months ago because it was in some kind of "beta" or something. Still great, tho

It can work but the process is diffrent, you can share Gold and all purchased games on an Xbox, the holder of said gold and games needs to set up their profile on the recipients xbox, then set that xbox as their primary console from the holders account. This could have changed thats what i did years ago on Xbox but i have not actually used an xbox in a while
are you communicating with another person with gamepass, it doesnt give it to you like magic one person has to own it to share it. Method works for sure just make sure you do all the steps correctly. Did you get accepted into the owners family? are you signed into the diffrent accounts on store and app? Just make sure you have done all the steps

Well you can technically only share with one person so just you and one friend. You can be one on Xbox one on PC though
