My husband and I lost our full term identical twins September 20, 1988. Now we understand that “acute” TTTS can happen. In 1988, they didn’t understand why both boys were over 6 1/2 lbs each because more often the babies are so different in weights. A few weeks after Matthew and Zachary were born and died, there was a successful surgery to correct the TTTS for the very first time. I think about that set of twins often. God bless all of those dealing with TTTS. It is heartbreaking doing everything the drs tell you and then lose both babies. The entire experience changed us forever.
My twins had TTTS. They were born in 2010. Baby A was 4.9lbs & Baby B was 1.15lbs. Now 12 yrs later, Baby A is 100lbs & Baby B is 86lbs. A is tall B is short. They look more like sisters than twins. They are best friends😊
Twins run rampant in my family. My daughter carried her boys the entire 40 weeks. Each boy weighing 7# 3oz. Exact same length as well. Praying you do just as well. Try not to stress too much as they sense your stress. 🙏
With my twins, it wasn't diagnosed and when they were born 21 yrs ago at 33 weeks one was white and one was red, I feel lucky they survived and are fit and healthy today.

I lost my twins too... Though the surgery can be done but there was a least chance for them to survive further 😭
Sorry to hear, but usually they want to send you out of state to have it if your state doesn't offer it

I worry about my boys everyday. No matter what I read my mind is never at ease.
