"C'mon, kids! We're headed down to Montgomery Ward to buy our new VCR and then stop by the Fotomat drive-through to pick up the photos from our vacation. Then we'll pick up some Hardee's and make it home in time for 'Hardcastle and McCormick'" and the ABC Sunday Night Movie."
there used to be an MG Ward’s in my local shopping center. people in the 757 remember fondly the golden days when Lynnhaven had one, and was the largest shopping center in iirc the entire district. i was too young to remember when they moved out, but the tenants that followed could never last. the longest that i remember is dick’s sporting goods and thats only been about a decade. Ward’s was there since ‘81 when LH opened the Lord and Taylor’s that quickly went under after only 5 or so years tells you a lot about how businesses are run nowadays. i wonder if their music systems were the secret to their longevity and prosperity 🤔
their graphics have always been interesting in my opinion. i love how every year they have a slightly different logo… the same still but different variations on a theme if you will😉
Yes, I wonder if that is an actual photo of a MUZAK recording session, with various sound engineers and musicians, a trumpet and behind may be a french horn. 🎵🎵 @@The4MusketeersYT
@@ZAKEMPLEX i do believe that is a frenchie, but they have a really weird setup for their… symphonic orchestra(?) idk what you would call an ensemble with strings, woodwinds, brass, and synth🤔 but it’s perfectly on brand for them to have the most unconventional setup possible
I'll meet you at the McDonald's PlayPlace in 1984, next to the ball pit. Let's make this work. Everyone is counting on you! I will bring some weed. Do you have my pager number?

I just relived my childhood in that comment
I actually own a multi-band shortwave radio with Montgomery Ward branding. 45 years old and still perfect reception
Rainy day on the east coast. These are the perfect tunes to segue into the afternoon with a steamy cup of coffee.
i thought our roof was gonna fly off the other night 😅 i found it to be the perfect time to take a nap. this would work well too👌
I would love to go back in time.
I've been searching for this version of the Magnificent Seven forever
i’m glad you could find it
Track 07 made me cry because it’s very beautiful.
That Arthur's Theme is smooth as heck. Thanks for your hard work!
LOVE IT !!! and the slideshow pics.
The satellite illustration .... like a giant aerosol can spraying the Earth with MUZAK scented love.🎵🎵

I love this channel.
A different version of the Magnificent Seven Theme was used in commercials for Marlboro cigarettes, for many years.

Love the Magnificent Seven
one of the few pieces i can think of with a piccolo flute part
Good job😊
Wish it was 1983😢😢
Google EmuVR. Runs with our without a VR set. But with a VR set it's like you are teleported to the 1980s.
I shouldnt have eaten that acid last November. It was a heroic dose and I don't think I've fully returned.
i find that this is a great substitute for drugs
Then keep on keeping on that journey through the universe!
Ahghhhhhhh

are you okay
Syd Dale Rocks !!! check out his 70s stuff
I always thought Christopher Cross could have smoothed out Arthurs theme even more, now I know it could be done.
i must say that rendition is my favorite tune from this vinyl.
I was thinking K-mart lol😅
Am i the only who thought of the 7 UP Pac Man commercial when i heard 3:04
its the same melody. Kim Carnes’ Bette Davis Eyes, but that specific advertisement had for you, and I’m sure a host of others, a fond memory.
I love MUSAK, but I think that like disco music... in the end a lot of garbage was made with poor arrangements and random orchestras... like these.
