Don't forget Zinc. I was taking high amounts of D, magnesium, potassium B complex with k2 and blood tests were coming back, low D. I did some research and discovered that without enough Zinc you can not absorb D. After taking D, Magnesium,K2, zinc, potassium, b complex my D went up.
Thanks for sharing your experience! It's essential to highlight the importance of considering the synergistic effects of various nutrients. Zinc indeed plays a crucial role in vitamin D metabolism and absorption, among other functions in the body. Your anecdote underscores the significance of a balanced approach to supplementation and how addressing potential deficiencies can positively impact overall health. It's always beneficial to consult with healthcare professionals or nutritionists to ensure you're meeting your body's unique needs and achieving optimal health outcomes. Keep up the great work in taking care of your health, and thanks for contributing to the conversation!

What kind of magnesium there are differemt types
When considering magnesium supplements for kidney health, magnesium glycinate is often recommended due to its high absorption rate and gentle effects on the digestive system. However, there are various types of magnesium supplements available, including magnesium citrate, magnesium oxide, and magnesium chloride, each with different absorption rates and potential benefits. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional to determine the most suitable magnesium supplement based on individual needs and health status.
Hi, any kind advice if the kidney function test as below :
Kidney Function Test:
Urea : 4.0
Creatinine : 89
eGFR: > 60
Calcium : 2.36
Inorganic Phosphate : 1.01
Uric Acid : 0.50
Sodium: 142
Potassium: 4.0
Chloride: 106
Urine Microalbumin : 102.7
Urine Creatinine : 6.74
TQVM !
Based on the values provided, your kidney function test results appear generally within normal ranges. However, the urine microalbumin level of 102.7 suggests the presence of albumin in the urine, which can indicate early kidney damage or other health issues. It's essential to discuss these results with a healthcare professional who can provide personalized advice and further evaluation if needed. They may recommend lifestyle changes, dietary adjustments, or additional tests to monitor and manage your kidney health effectively. Regular check-ups and communication with your healthcare team are crucial for maintaining optimal kidney function and overall well-being.
Vegan diet can help your kidneys function improve!
What is actually this carnivore diet. Im having CKD stage 5 and undergoing dialysis twice per week. When we follow this diet and having dialysis will really reverse our kidneys ? Please suggest, Thanks 😊
Sad to hear about your condition. Hope you get well soon. The carnivore diet, focusing solely on animal products, has sparked interest and debate, particularly among those with chronic conditions like CKD. While some anecdotal reports suggest benefits, it's essential to proceed with caution, especially in advanced CKD and when undergoing dialysis. This diet's high protein content could impose additional strain on your kidneys. Reversing kidney damage, especially at stage 5, is very challenging, and there's no one-size-fits-all diet that guarantees improvement. It's crucial to consult with your healthcare team, including a nephrologist and a dietitian specialized in kidney disease, before making significant dietary changes. They can provide personalized advice that considers your health status, dialysis requirements, and nutritional needs.
Thanks for sharing, especially about the REI she mushroom 🍄 I’ll get some. Can you tell us how much d3/k2 we should take, especially if we are already taking 2k of Vitamin d? Can you recommend a good supplement brand for us to take ?
Regarding the REI (possibly Reishi) mushroom, it's great to hear you're interested in exploring its benefits! Reishi mushrooms are known for their immune-boosting properties and potential kidney health benefits. However, it's essential to use them cautiously and consult with a healthcare provider, especially if you have underlying health conditions or are taking medications.
When it comes to vitamin D3 and K2 supplementation, the optimal dosage can vary based on individual health factors, dietary intake, sun exposure, and specific health goals. For someone already taking 2000 IU of vitamin D daily, the need for additional D3 and the appropriate amount of K2 might depend on your current vitamin D levels, which can be determined by a blood test.
Vitamin K2 is often taken to support the proper utilization of calcium in the body, promoting bone and cardiovascular health. A common recommendation for K2 is in the range of 90-120 mcg per day for adults, but this can vary based on individual circumstances.
Now as for supplement brands, Quite frankly I don't know which is the best, so i can't suggest any specific brand but what I can give you is a small advise that it's crucial to choose products that have been third-party tested for purity and potency.
Please remember, it's best to consult with a healthcare provider or a registered dietitian before starting any new supplement regimen. They can offer guidance tailored to your specific health needs and help ensure that your supplementation strategy supports your overall health without interfering with other conditions or medications.
Hi,what is ARB ? And it's function to the body.
Hii,
An ARB stands for Angiotensin Receptor Blocker. It's a type of medication commonly used to treat conditions like high blood pressure, heart failure, and kidney disease.
ARBs work by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a hormone that constricts blood vessels, leading to relaxation of blood vessels and lowering of blood pressure.
In the context of kidney disease, ARBs help to protect the kidneys by reducing pressure within the blood vessels of the kidneys, thereby slowing the progression of kidney damage. These medications are often prescribed alongside other treatments to manage kidney disease and related complications. It's important to take ARBs exactly as prescribed by a healthcare professional and to follow up regularly for monitoring and adjustments as needed.

I have a question , it's only vitamin D can work or i have to associate with other vitamin like vitamin k
Vitamin D plays a crucial role in kidney health by supporting proper calcium absorption, which is essential for bone health and overall kidney function. However, for optimal benefits, it's often recommended to complement vitamin D with vitamin K. Vitamin K helps regulate calcium in the body, preventing it from depositing in the kidneys and blood vessels. Therefore, combining vitamin D with vitamin K can enhance its effectiveness in supporting kidney health. Consult with a healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dosage and combination tailored to your specific health needs.

I take vitamin D 2000 international units every day is that enough
The recommended daily intake of vitamin D can vary depending on factors such as age, sex, skin color, geographic location, and individual health status. Generally, many experts recommend a daily intake of 600 to 800 IU (International Units) of vitamin D for most adults, although some may require more, especially if they have limited sun exposure or certain health conditions.
Taking 2000 IU of vitamin D daily is within a safe range for most adults and may be appropriate for maintaining optimal levels, especially if you have limited sun exposure or are at risk of deficiency. However, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice based on your specific needs and circumstances.
They can consider factors such as your current vitamin D levels, medical history, and any other medications or supplements you may be taking. Additionally, they can help monitor your vitamin D levels over time to ensure they remain within a healthy range.
