I like it. We have done some versions of this on our farm with mixed results. It helps to see what others are doing in the same climate. In some ways, feeding hay in the winter is almost as fun as grazing in the growing season because it's a challenge to be innovative in order to get the most efficient and productive system. Also, the results from it the next growing season are so rewarding.

Agreed! I like the change of pace in the winter, but am always anxious to get back to less expensive feed by grazing.

@@JoelRuen I’ve had a few, but they’ve learned how to get back out and with the larger holes that I’ve cut, no problems with that.
