Well, folks, my solution lasted until recently, when I started experiencing a problem with the motomassage being less forceful, and sometimes getting stuck. I took off the cover and felt around while the spa was running, and I could feel a stream of water coming out from one of the motomassage jets right where the jet screws into the spa. I removed both and examined them, and the tube had partially split right where it pushes onto the threaded part. If you have these symptoms, I recommend feeling around back there (put your hand around the spine and move it up and down in the back). I have read that this is a common failure point of the tubing. I decided at that point that I was not going to mess around with some type of tubing fix that wasn't going to work as well or last as long, so I broke down and ordered a new set of jets.
Just completed the process, also reversed the air hose and changed the "O" ring....all good, moto massage unit working well; hopefully for a long time to come! Many thanks, saved myself around NZ$360!
That's great! Glad it worked out! Ironically, the day I replied to your first comment, mine suddenly quit going up and down. I took off the panel and disconnected the manifold and tightened the right motomassage one full turn, because it appeared the unit was pulling to the left. That got it centered and working again. If it stops again, I think I'll try cutting 1/8" off the two hoses.
Brilliant, i have a similar problem, so have ordered some petroleum jelly and will copy your process...I'm in NZ where we use Centigrade, so presume when you state 175 that was in Fahrenheit?
Yes, Mike, that was in Fahrenheit. I don't think the temp is too critical, as long as it's not too hot. Even 150 would probably be OK. Basically when you feel like they've softened up enough, they're done ;) Good luck with it, and report back with your results! BTW, We've been using the spa almost every day since I put this video out, and the moto-massage is working great!
You do realize that anyone watching this would have already purchased one, don't you? And BTW, my 2009 has not had any leaks or electrical issues in 15 years.

Thanks so much; I will let you know the outcome, hopefully the same as yours!
Hot Springs tubs get unrepairable leaks and electrical problems. Avoid them at all costs.
