A rough guesstimate is when you apply for example a radial gradient, you can see sort of rings or circle where the gradient is changing through the colours of the gradient. This can be avoided by adding some slight noise maybe just 1 or 2 percent, hope this helps.

I don't think you've taught us how to get the best quality out of images whilst staying under the file size limit :[
