Indeed
It's better honestly not to expect anything because the moment you slap expectations on something you get let down .
Last night, a two month relationship ended. He was calling texting all day long until 5 days ago. Then he ghosted me 5 days ago. He has a doctorate in sociology.
I text him “a professional communicator but you’re not talking?” He text me and said he reconnected with an ex. In my experience, the silence is a definite statement. It's difficult to find a grown man that will function as a mature adult. This seems to be common place with men on dating apps. People, have enough class to not break up in a text.
Yes, romantic backburners.with exes.
Texting is less confrontational.
What does occupation have to do with interpersonal or relationship skills? Indeed silence is a definite statement. Sending you a 🫂 Susan.
Susan. 🫂
This happened to me too. He’s a surgeon with Drs without Borders, super nice empathetic person, but after 4 months dating ( we would spend the whole weekend together) he dumped me over text 😮💨then 8 months later texted me again saying I was the best thing that happened to him last year 🥴we got together for breakfast and then I never heard from him again 🥹not an emotional grownup
Susan 🫂 You deserve better.
When men don't treat women well, we create a society of soulless women. Backburner exes seem to be common.
Just decided to end it with someone who is emotionally broken after he stopped communicating for the second time. It has become obvious to me that he has not healed from his marriage (16 years ago) and his other long term relationship (8 years ago) and he’s been acting hot and cold and after 3 months of dating and this last silence I’m done. Thank you for sharing the video about the red flags of an emotionally broken man. He’s demonstrated a few of them and I’m grateful that I learned that.
He has shared with me the intense feelings of connection immediately followed by saying that he can’t jump in with both feet yet… due to my family situation reminding him of his ex’s etc.
Don't you hate when they contradict themselves...in consecutive sentences? Total WTF MAN...
@@renette0506 it’s very confusing esp when you aren’t aware of what’s going on. It makes more sense now which makes it easier to let go and move on, but yes… I wish more guys would take the time to heal BEFORE jumping into another relationship… and also realize that the simple passage of time doesn’t heal… you have to do the WORK of healing yourself in order to be ready for a new and improved relationship down the road…
@@WhyNotYouWhyNotNow Indeed and well said. Break the cycle. 🫂
@@WhyNotYouWhyNotNow ...the only way you can avoid that is by making sure you vet a man prior to being in relationship. Once they do that mind change thing, walk away.

People date for different reasons. Alot of women think if they say or demand too much too soon the men will think they are about to be trapped or god forbid a potential husband and they will turn tail and run. After all they just wanted to have fun.
Well said. Important to state your position and relationship goals directly and confidently. Your standards and boundaries. It's how to weed out the wrong men.and find aligned men. If someone is dating without purpose or based on fear, why would you be interested?
The first meeting, date is The Resume. .
People show you who they are on day one.
I think some men like to be chased as well instead of being the Hunter.
Maybe they are getting frustrated with being "the Hunter"- once catching the prey. Their disappointment. (Came on so strong in the early stages).
These are wounded men.
My problem started when he found out he had to have hip replacements. It's the only thing he thinks about. He's in pain and has dropped me.
I was compassionate, empathetic, and encouraging? To no avail.
Linda, I am sorry this happened. , You deserve better. 🫂 Your own needs and well being are important. .
It's one sided. He is consumed with his health. Let him be.
Lol way to make his life altering problem all about you
@lomane5327 it's not about me, actually. I figured out that our relationship was fake. He just wanted me for a friend with benefits.
You deserve better than Mr Clicky hips! 😄 x
@@LindaYoung-nw4xl Good that you did. Next!
The excuses are gameplaying are an escape clause.
Omgosh Johnathon....you are so bang on when you say that relationships usually have a slow death until a big event occurs. I couldn't' agree more! Couples usually do if never fall out of love over night. This point you make took me 3 years of grieving to come to terms with. Communication with two people is absolutely the most important aspect of a successful relationship....then comes all the wonderful extras a wonderful, lasting relationship has to offer. Communication with your partner is an art that takes work and understanding. Without it, relationships are eventually bound to fail. It may take days, weeks, months, or even years... but eventually it will become an empty and unsatisfying relationship and you will essentially feel or be alone in some capacity. Communication is key!
Radical honesty is key! Disconnection happens slowly then all at once. Or there can be a deal-breaker that ends it.
Exactly
I have yet to find a grown man who is honest about his past relationships. I'm not sure if it's a regional issue, but the men I've met on dating apps within the last four years are extremely private and secretive. I'm not sure how you can build any trust when this is going on.
I hear you. It can be challenging to find truly genuine people anywhere. .
Mysterious and secretive is a banner!

Yes, some people do that...
It takes me one year to get to know someone. Before I get intimate I ask for that time and then re negotiate on where we are at. If it goes badly at anytime that person needs to speak up immediately. I will not get an STD for anyone and will legally pursue you if so. I find this works well for me and have no problems asking for this.
Absolutely 💯! No first date SEX for me.... my heath means more than a "Quickie" ☆
Good idea !!!
When was your last relationship?
Your coaching has developed by leaps and bounds since you've been with Marie. And she is adorable.
Thank you 😊
And g'morning groupies!!😂❤🎉
I really like this video. Lot of info in concise and simple presentation. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Jonathan I got your book and I got the Hoffman process looking forward to reading both
Great books for sure
Hope you enjoy
Myself and my now ' ex ' communicated very early on in this way you've described . We were very clear with one another and we didn't have sex right away . However 4 months later he shut down completely he said he just didnt have the bandwidth for a proper relationship . We ended it there but absolutely NOTHING alluded to him bailing infact the complete polar opposite !
@5:55 This is where we get the benefit of Jonathon's insight in another analogy.
Awe... thank you 😊
Im not a silent woman lolllll 😂😂😂😂😂
Neither am I. To be direct is a good thing.
Good to hear...
i think the trick of it is knowing what you want and how you feel and that is the hardest part right.. then when you do COMMUNICATE. It doesnt mean you always get your needs met but we can die trying :) @@JonathonAslay
Jonathan that’s accurate what you said about healing wounds
This information is valid and useful. I like the idea of the dating vows. When do you recommend we introduce this concept?
Before deep feelings and intimacy...
Wow, this is good advice. Only if the other person is honest. I read an article about 25 years ago. About giving another person a chance who was not your type. I did. Then they said before you were , discussed what you and they were looking for, marriage ? Children? Etc.whatever. They said, yes, yes, yes. 3 months of dating face to face, before becoming imitate. Yes that long to make sure it was real. After 6 months dating, with no disagreements, and great intimacy, their true self emerged. They told me they never would commit to anyone. Abruptly breaking it off on over the phone. I found out thru others that it was a bet with them and his friends that he could get me in bed! He went on to do the same to other women. Imagine the distrust ! Love is a gamble for sure,.
That's quite diabolical. People are what they repeatedly do. Pay attention to patterns of behavior.
We're there any noticeable red flags or dealbreakers in their behavior?
🫂
@@sherriflemming3218 nope, we got along great, so I thought.
@@LastTree He's very slick and practiced. I hope you made him accountable. You're worth more. 🫂
@sherriflemming3218 yes, I realized he was quite the actor, was doing this for years. In fact, about a year later at a social event he came up to me as if nothing ever happened! I turned my back and walked away. Never spoke or saw him again.
@@LastTree Yes, no conscience or remorse. Good for you! That's the best way to show them- accountability.
They are a facade and social chameleons.
Trust is a gamble.
Linda I’m sorry.
I love the duck tape lmao
G'morning Jonathan 😘
👋
Not married, being single...
Howdy!
Hello Jonathan , I can't find the dating vows . I'm still looking for them .
It's around the 15:20 mark in this video.😊

My ex friend is The best at silence and walking away from me amidst after angry words. When I have done nothing to deserve it. I mean down to not a word. Instead of saying hi there he does the other at meeting each other. I don't know what he's talking about when he does it. I tried to make amends a few weeks back that's when he ignored me. I wanted that for closures.
Wanda 🫂 Closure is with yourself.
He's not treating you in a healthy manner.
It just hurts he Acts like 4 years of friendship just went away.
@@WandaYarbrough-mx3xf It certainly does hurt. . However everyone has the right to end a relationship. You will find other people! The closure is with you Wanda.

What if HE wants sex ONCE a month? Please don't suggest that it is a woman. Try 5 years! off on signs of a serious avoidant...I should have seen it
