Is this a deleted scene from a DVD extras? The camera angle changes also had lighting and sound differences, as if it hadn't been properly mixed/edited at all. Almost like a first take and instead of cleaning it all up, they just skipped it but had it around for more 'extras' content. Even the tone of the dialog was inconsistent, the timing was loose and it seems like a side plot they could easily ditch (the phone call).
