And the 60s, and the 80s. I think America started to really go downhill in the 90s maybe. Even though I was in tech I think tech has had some real negative effects on the US.
Man, memories, this reminds when the Commordores and Earth, Wind and Fire, seem to be releasing hit after hit!!!!!! So happy to be a part of this time of my life!!!!!!
"...show me a world where dreams are for dreamers and all the things you wish come true...I wish the world had all happy people then there'd be no more wishing to do..."
I love this song. My parents had the Commodores album that this song is from on 8-track tape. I can still remember the sound of it. Precious memories. ❤
The Commodores put out some great music from 1974-82, and they were a great funk band on top of that. It's unfortunate that internal problems led to Lionel Richie and leaving the band in the early 80s. While Lionel Richie's solo stuff along with the post-Lionel Richie Commodores albums are good in their own right, neither one of them has ever recaptured the magic that they had as a group.
Brings back memories of sneaking out to watch this program after everyone else went to bed. Plus, they sure knew how to sing and wear the "Grooviest" outfits!!!
Raise your hand if you miss the '70s.

You're welcome!
Happy Birthday Lionel Richie
Waiting for somebody to have the full episode. Because they introduce the other artists. They are the hosts for tonight.
So glad this was uploaded!!! These guys were dangerous!!
Lionel Richie created more hits than Mike Tyson.
Commodores or Lionel Ritchie on his own, it's all good!
Bring the fros back, so cool.
Anyone know why they are wearing sun dials on all their wrists?
Early GPS locating device to know where they were on stage.
Fashion!
Ok I thought I was the only one 😊
