I love this series. Great guess singers and Mac Davis is so down to earth remembering his roots. God is mentioned several times, and Jesus is sung about. Sad to see things today so screwed up and upside down. Sure makes me wish Ronald Reagan was around.
He was amazing. I loved The Mac Davis Show, and saw him a couple times in small venues in Nashville. Great at that connection. But I disagree he's the only one. Some of the greatest songwriters are hilarious between songs with an audience. Gary Burr is one of the funniest guys ever, in between the sad songs he's the best at writing/singing.

Hi, Anthony! Well, I am from a Texas city to the west of Lubbock and I remember spending a month in Lubbock one night in 1975. There wasn't much else to do so that gave kids time to practice, play music in garages and in local skating rinks (Buddy Holly & the Crickets), get good at it, and then go off to the big time. BTW Lubbock is now advertising that it is now the top city for business, great cheaper housing, food, events and growth.

Awesome episode! Billy Paul was one smooth cat. And I was not familiar with Mac Davis before but I'm a fan now. Thanks for continuing to post the full episodes - love 'em!
Mac stared in the original "North Dallas Forty" with Nick Nolte.
@@modellbleu2294Maybe the best sports movie of all time. The NFL really hated it as it exposed the hypocrisy of pro football and the way athletes were treated. Look up a history of what happened to any former people associated with the league who served as advisors and consultants and what happened to them. They were all pretty much black balled.
I was pregnant 2 months with our previous little Wilson girl that will be born in September. She's almost 50 now and beautiful, and a great person. I love these shows.

Billy Preston’s band included George Johnson on guitar and a !7 year old Louis Johnson (The Brothers Johnson) Louis would go on to record with everyone notably Michael Jackson and thumping master,I watched Midnight Special every Friday night (my parents loved music and they knew I did too,I was 10 years old when this aired) it opened my ears to all this beautiful music,The Doobie Brothers destroyed their set and I guitar lessons that year,I still listen to all of this music (It never gets old,we do😂)
THAT'S THE WAY GOD PLANNED IT by BILLY PRESTON,a great tune, JESUS IS LORD
Look forward to your channel every day…. Keep on rockin’!
I love Mac Davis. Always have.
