I am an Alanis fan in High School and I am just enjoying this version!! Background is too loud though... I wished he just played an electric guitar with this and slayed! Love this cowboy's version of this!
Vocally, he occasionally reminds me of a British singer from so long ago, unknown in the US, I think, called Mick Softly. He was a small but influential light in the UK rock/folk scene of the 60s and 70s. Warren has something of him, and that is no bad thing at all.
This is one of my favorite Alanis songs but I don't think it suited him. She is kinda rapping it in a indie alternative way. He didn't have that pace the song requires.
Everytime you had me personally warren you would lose the connection with me when you started moving faster than the soind of yoir voice. No matter how fast or slow the tempo go move to the soind of your voice. I hope this makes since. Much love Warren.
Great voice but I think his image is working against him for the song he was singing. In losing the guitar he should have lost the hat as well and just gone for playing the song straight.

I would listen to his soulful voice all day.. I love the grit & gravel in his voice..
The music doesn’t do him any favours, they need to back off on the volume so you can hear his voice and lyrics better.

I think this stage just doesn't have good sound in general. They all sounded better in Hawaii or the beginning episodes
