If you really want to improve the backup light system, for less than $25 you can get the Dual Function Wiring Harness for the late model Silverado/Sierra. It’s a 5 minute install, and enables the top of the cab cargo lights to become additional backup lights.
Very njce. I came here for the reverse lights. Just got a 2024 AT4 1500 in Thunderstorm Gray. I’m definitely upgrading the reverse lights. Those are awesome!!!
Longtime fan here. Hey have someone follow you at night and brake - I think ONLY that red led is gonna annoy/blind drivers following you. I’ve seen a few aftermarket’s and they are outside allowed regulation too bright in my opinion. Otherwise ❤ the channel.
@AdventureRocks I love your new truck. How long did it take to get the truck delivered from order date to delivery date to dealer. I am asking because I am considering ordering a 2500 with the gas engine. I have a GMC 3500 Duramax and want to add a gas 2500 to the “fleet”. My understanding is that you ordered yours and not chose from one on the lot. Thanks in advance!
It was about 2 months start to finish. It seems like the gas trucks are coming out pretty quick in general. I know someone else that ordered an AT4 gasser at same time, and it was also about 2 months start to finish.
Yes, for me LASFIT was a contender. I've had great experience and support with the vendor GTR/Headlight Revolution, so went with them this route. The brightness really is insane...game changer especially with reverse.
I have a 2024 Sierra 1500. I didn’t think the reverse lights are LEDs, but I’m unsure now, after getting the taillights off the truck with my T15s. The wiring harness has a small red clip that I undo, but I’m unsure how to detach it from the truck once I oust that clip. I still need to kill it apart or something and I have had no luck. Was yours similar at the reverse lights? I believe I undo that red clip and just pull? I don’t think I twist like in earlier model Sierras/Silverado’s. 🤷♂️ I just can’t detach the wiring harness from the actual light, and might just need to pull harder? I didn’t want to break anything. Any input would be so appreciated.
I believe if it is a twist/turn then it's incandescent. But, if it is a harness with clip/lock it is more likely LED. ...I believe that is the case, but there could be other variations certainly.
Do you happen to know if those backup led's fit a '24 Chev 2500hd ltz? I was actually just looking at the 921XPR bulb for mine. Don't think it quite as bright as yours.
I think so. Double check if your OEM reverse bulbs are SLV 921 - if so, that's what mine had. The new LED bulbs are INSANLEY bright...still going on 10+ months and they are amazing, no issues. For reference here are the OEM sizes on my original bulbs: Brake/Turn Signal - STANLEY 7444 LL Reverse - SLV 921 License Plate - 194 G
Update: About 1500 mi and 2+ months since install...no error codes or hyper flash...no issues. I think the red stop/turn are the most susceptible to causing errors on cars...the resistor module fixes that...and this particular brand seems to be higher quality.
I hear you. I was reluctant to purchase given the higher price point, but I got to say they are completely worth it. I was concerned about going cheaper and then having the lights fail down the road. The GTR have given me zero problems so far.
Great point. And, apologies for not mentioning that. I think it only works on SLE and Pro trim, along with LT and Custom trims on Chevy. They are SO bright and still working great on mine. Sorry they don't work on yours.

Crazy how much these rigs cost, and we still have to supplement them with mods! Thank you for the vid 👊🏼
Very true!
Also frustrating when you ask the salesman about it and they look at you strange and say that everything is LED when in fact it isn’t.
Indeed @@decline1129
Don’t forget to add LED to your over the cab lights

Thank you! Bet your AT4 looks sharp in that color.
Nice install looks amazing compared to factory!

Great point. Definitely don't want to be too bright!
I just sewn a fresh CLEAR set of Whelen SuperLed Vertex into harness. A bypass special winNok

Thank you btw, I am enjoying the truck!
Thanks! Good news.
Lasfit? We're they in your research?
Thinking this project is my next move also

I wonder will it give a code by running the LED I'm thinking about doing my license plate with LED,s.

@AdventureRocks Yes and that is it I believe what quality they are those cheap knock off don't work for me.
@AdventureRocks Do you happen to know the number for the license plate light, mines is a 2022 GMC 3500.
@@bishopgeorge1333 Double check on yours, but good chance they are T10/194 bulb:

I put led license plate lights on mine it’s totally fine. It’s wierd GM doesn’t do that in the factory.
Any other lower cost option? The GTR set option is as 165 USD.

Had any issues?
Had mine since June and my rear turn went out this weekend.
Not yet, almost at a full year. Did you get an error message in cluster or just notice it was out?
@AdventureRocks dash/computer alerted me. 1/3 of the leds were out on one side.
@@funtimeonline8071 Interesting. Thanks for the update.
These will not work for the 2024 gmc sierra AT4 1500 sadly i bought these and found out the hard way. They are all led but still low output.

They don’t work on the 2500hd AT4 either
Strange, different flash, the delay
Old and new flash
Yes, difference between LED (left) and incandescent (right). Basically the incandescent has to "warm" up ea time, whereas LED is near instant on/off.
let me know if they burnout your main computer
I surely hope not!
