- Hey everyone, thanks for tuning in for another exterior property wash. Today I am restoring a cedar deck. This deck was old to begin with and had some pretty bad spots. But I did my best with what I could do for my client. I originally didn’t really plan to make this a how to video so if you have any questions just put them in the comments and, if there’s something I could do better when doing this and you’re more experience than me definitely let me know. I am still learning about all of this stuff and am doing my best to also share my journey online with these videos. I hope someone learned something from this or I can learn something from someone else And I appreciate you tuning in. I have a part two of this video where I clean the back patio and front walkway as well.
Step 1: Rinse deck down w water
Step 2: Use sodium hydroxide in pump sprayer: 16oz for every 1 gal of water. (Let sit for about 5-10min.) (this chemical pulls off the stain)
Step 3: Rinse & power wash lightly not ripping up wood.
Step 4: Use Oxalic in pump sprayer 16oz for every 1 gal of water. (Let sit for 5-10min) (This chemical brightens the wood)
Step 5: Rinse off deck & any surrounding areas with water
Step 6: get paid 🤝💰
