This was some great work by you and the team. Sometimes we are heavily influenced by our peers, Shawn has u taking Bowers every draft, and Pat has u taking Drake, remember, you have to also have your own guys, don't be "overly" influenced, thanks for the hard work
haha, i appreciate that. i will always defer to my guests and i have plenty of other drafts to get my guys. i like being able to cherry pick the ideas i like best and then put them into play
I'm a best ball newbie and now prefer the format over redraft due to time constraints. Your articles and videos are very insightful when it helps determine how to build my teams. For now, I'm dabbling in just small money underdog drafts as I build teams through trial and error. That way, I can gauge how prepared I'll be when plunging into larger tournaments.
Wowzer, I had no idea about the Best Ball hub on Fantasy LIfe. Though looking at it now, may have been better if I didn't see it. Hoping Calvin Ridley and Dameon Peirce can shine this year!
Stacking isn’t that big of a deal. My best lineups are never because they were stacked they were because I picked the majority of high scoring fantasy assets. Like Achane. Thielen. Puka stroud. Etc. didn’t have Kyren. And had a lot of Anthony Richardson, daniel jones, Justin fields. The injuries killed me and missing a few big scoring players killed me. But havin stacks isn’t what made it broke any of my lineups. For example. fantasy flock promotes his channel saying he won X amount of dollars 2 years ago. And he promotes stacking. But the only reason he won that year is because he had bad lineups that didn’t have Bills or bengals players a game that ended up being by canceled. Had it not been canceled his winning would have been $0
@@DepositKingdom like I said 99% of losing lineups stack as well. Your statistic is meaningless Here’s a good example. One of my better lineups I made has stroud picked 20 picks after ADP. Guess what I stacked him with a last pick Noah brown. So if I were to win the whole thing you’d see I stacked. But the reality is the stack won’t win it. It’s my other players I’m happy about.
wonderful video, thx Mr. My Fantasy Life! I wonder how these strategies and the importance of stacks/wk17 change for season-long drafts? and also how to view the rookies in that sweet spot vs guys like Thielen Bateman or even Demarcus Robinson in season-long? Who cares i’ll still be drafting nonstop until September😂
i still like stacking and attacking rookies in re draft, the nice thing about chasing upside is you can cut em and grab the boring vets off waivers if they don't hit
Let’s goo! I have the entire patriots wr stack on my dynasty bench with pop Polk and baker Got the burrow chase stack and Engram/Thomas as well Stacks just make watching on Sunday a little more fun if nothing else 😂 Question for you though: why only 2% Engram shares?
Awesome content Pete. On #3 does the FFPC Superflex tournament format change the arithmetic? Should we be leaning into correlation more in the early rounds of drafts in that format? Currently duking it out with a draft partner on this -- do we take both Purdy and Tua, build stacks for each and end up with massive week 16 correlation? But at a cost of taking Tua and Purdy in the first 3 rounds? Or do we stick to just leaning into correlation later in the drafts, as you suggest here?
i do think the qb is the most powerful of the correlations, obviously in sflex so id need to make that decision based on how hungry the thirst for qb was in that specific room when i say ppl force it too much i was mainly thinking week 17 bring backs
Quentin Johnston: Sweet I’m in the middle of that round 12-14 grouping… wait he skipped me…🙋🏽♂️ooo ooo Pete pick me, pick me.. I’m a sophomore! 🦗 crickets 🦗 Pete: let’s wrap this up with my To-Do List
Also, it's interesting that I'm seeing many fantasy players applying big tournament strategy to 12 team sit n gos, and it's not the same thing because there are no playoffs and no weeks against rosters with player overlap. Every draft seems like at least 2 teams draft so poorly with roster construction errors that they've basically lost before the season starts. This means you're usually only competing against 9 other teams for 3 payouts.
@@DepositKingdom big tournament rosters are boom or bust high risk high reward rosters with a high rate of failure. I LOVE playing against those rosters in 12 team sit n gos 😂
That means you are just picking players that fall to you based on ADP instead of going for who you think will be the best and possibly reaching 10-15 picks
for sure, it used to tilt me, but now i like it because it means their team is worse & ill just build out more stacks while still getting the benefit of the teammate correlation w/o the qb
Just found your channel, follow you on Twitter, definitely will be going back and listening to all these videos. We see these draft rooms very similarly makes me feel good about my strategy so far!
@@brentsmith555 I recently watched Young's college highlights and noticed immediately he holds onto the ball way too long, like every play. Not sure if he was doing that in the NFL, but that might explain the insane #of sacks he took.if so, he's gotta fix that immediately.
Bro I try so hard to stack on weeks 16 and 17 but its hard with 11 other people in a draft without reaching. Ive had a few drafts where its come easily but usually I'll have a guy lined up and he'll get sniped a few picks above his adp
And you said: The qb will fall because nobody else is interested in that passer.... because nobody is stacking him with anyone.... bro, who are you drafting with? Ive had people draft Mahomes and then Burrow a couple rounds apart and not have a single wr from either team. I swear, Im drafting against bots whos teams make no sense. People got 3 qbs by round 14 and stuff with no correlations. Its insane.
ya it can be tough when ppl dont stay in their lane...i like to grab lots of pass catchers from different teams early so i have lots of options for stacks
@@DepositKingdomstacking isn’t that important. Who would you rather have? Hurts 325FP + AJB 220FP. Or Allen 375FP + st brown 245FP? Stacking only ends up on winning lineups because almost everyone has stacks by the end of it all.
@@DepositKingdom so you’d rather have the lower scoring options? Weird. Picking Kyren Williams and Puka Nacua while avoiding Anthony Richardson wins you lineups. Not stacking. Like I said. All my lineups are still stacked. But it’s not because that’s my goal. It’s because with a 16-20 man roster it’s almost impossible to not stack without trying not to.
