    "Descriptive, not predictive" finally someone articulated stuff I've been thinking.

    love these takes -- Not very many FF youtubers or podsters are talking about how the data is skewed and inflated. Like, how can you even look at historical data in a concrete way when there is what.. only 4 years of BBM?

    • @BlueLineKing7
      @BlueLineKing7 29 дней назад +1

      Exactly. Especially considering most of the “winners” of major events are guys who maxed entry, and threw mad shit at the wall in hopes it worked. Notice the same ppl haven’t won BBM, so clearly an individual strategy doesn’t work yearly. I personally believe it comes down to mostly luck. You’re talking about building a team good enough to make it through 14 weeks, but then it comes down to a 1 week shootout til week 17 ends. Correlation in week 17 only is hilarious considering only 1% of entrants make week 17.
      Just funny to me…

    thank you for taking the time to do such a breakdown for us. pretty awesome man! I do pretty well with stacking, but having a hard time correlating week 17 games. i just cant remember the damn schedule!!! did a lot of drugs in my years LoL memory is extremely short term. in anyones opinion are you screwed if you dont have week 17 correlation??? this video makes it sound like you should still be pretty good. seriously would love the feedback. thanks again ETR!

      You're not screwed but suboptimal IF you make it to the finals. You can still win without it.

    Thanks Mike, great stuff as usual. Agree that doing this analysis is primarily descriptive helping us understand underlying structural tactics generically but not predictive since every year is different. Btw, just like for RB being higher EV with only 3 RB's drafted (they probably drafted early and avoided the poor early QB, TE), I think the 3 QB EV may have also (agree that drafters that know to stack are probably more knowledgeable) be due to drafting late QB's and avoiding early QB's/TE's that did not perform.

    This is great analysis, as usual, thanks. Suggestion about a topic for another video that I think would be really helpful - what are the attributes of late pick players who significantly exceed their ADP, by position? For example, are late pick RB's who start season as the clear RB2 w/ passing upside when the RB1 is a mid ADP pick, or higher ADP pick but beyond XX years of age, the most likely to exceed their ADP? is a rookie, or second year TE1 who has not gotten much playing time yet, in a passing offense with lower rated WR1's and 2's the most likely to exceed their ADP? would be an interesting analysis as usually winning these things come down to finding the low rated picks who significantly exceed their ADP.

    You have to get lucky in bb. Sure there are strategies that can give you a better chance at getting lucky. I had some really good teams last year, but didn’t advance because I was unlucky enough not to have amari cooper. You have to have that one player that goes off to advance.

      I advanced like 40+% of my teams but got unlucky week 15 and not one of my 25 or so playoff teams (which I thought were super teams) made it to week 16. I couldn't believe it

    Does anyone know a way to intuitively display ongoing slow drafts on DraftKings? I'm in about 23 slows rn and would ideally not like to draft off the phone app (would like to see big board etc on the PC website) but the phone client seems way better than having to click through each contest to see which one I'm up in?
    Any ideas? Ty in advance if any1 responds
