Considering how time is normal in garbage island, slow in the desert, and fast in downtown, I think that in the area with the still-living trees, time is completely halted
Maybe there wasn't actually any time dilatation and Alex is just imagining stuff because of heat strokes. I think it makes sense since he's so scared of perhaps never finding his right place to die, like these people, and you can't go back to check anyway.
Ah yes that's actually a good possibility but the thing is according to the LISA The pointless base wiki Time dilatation is canon. I don't know where they got that info but I trust them.
@@fantastical674 Pretty sure at the dinner scene, Alex himself said something about how sometimes, a day lasts forever and sometimes a year doesn't even last a day. Think due to the Flash being purely supernatural in Pointless, some places do have fucked up time.

Man, what an eerie Easter egg. The Twilight Plaza was originally this cool, mysterious place but when you come back to it's devoid of life. The music is gone and the few remaining Marauders are insane and senile (the first guy you run into at 0:55 originally had a darker beard when you first visit the village). I appreciate that Jimmy didn't explicitly spell out what happened, as that makes it creepier because it's left to your imagination. The elder's bodyguard makes some cryptic comments about the passage of time being different there but it's not elaborated why that's the case or even whether he's telling you the truth, or if he's just as demented as the guys outside (_or_ if any of what we see is even happening to begin with and it isn't just Alex imagining things due to Heatstroke-induced delirium).
Perhaps the Elder did know about the time dilation - the distance from the story of the Pointless. They *had* the pink pill. Then, they didn't. And were left behind. In story, and in time. "If you cannot retrieve the artifact - you may as well not come back at all."
It's specific to Pointless. But, basically, time dilation depends on where you are. It's also the reason for why the desert is lethally hot, yet downtown is completely fine despite being very close to it
I wonder if the entrance to downtown was actually like a few feet from the start of the wasteland but time is so fucked up it turned into 5 minutes of pain.
I keep finding new secrets all the time in that expanse with your videos or my exploration ! It seems JCJimmy anticipated everything the player could do and polished the game until its very details. Will we see it fully one day or will we always be missing something ?
Can you make a video on what the broken rilfe and ak 47 are for if anything? Same thing with other seemingly useless items like the palladium tile, gold watch, teen mag, inflated head, etc.
They're only meant to be sold. With the exception of the inflated head which is meant to be combined with the mannequin torso to make the jerryrigged doll which you can then barter to the garbage merchants for some good loot.
Well thing about Pointless is that you are not allow it to have it easy. Because as you can see you can never get more than 3 party members. So therefore I assume Geen would either be dead already/ ask you you to ditch Salt crab/ or won't be there at all.
Oh, i guess there would be an easter egg if you try to recruit Geen after getting Salt Crab... Who knows, maybe there is. But meh, im lazy enough for try it... Or not?
How do they measure "Decades" if the sun never moves? Sorry but thats just a failed attempt at worldbuilding. I think LISA games should not unecessarily try to establish a time dilation continuity, The time within Olathe is just whatever it needs to be.
Or they simply use a clock ? A mind clock and a mind calendar. There is many other method to measure time and years you know even if time appear to be frozen.
Using a clock? Just because the sun doesn't move doesn't mean all methods of tracking time has gone apart, they might not be able to tell the amount of time that's gone past but you can fucking tell its been decades if you're growing old and grey. You gonna tell me people living in bunkers will simply not notice when 20 years go by because they can't see the sun?

possible but without actual clue it's hard to know. Well I guess the active trees can be a clue.

When Alex was talking about day lasting decades I didn't think of it in a literal way,nor did I expect to see this in SOFTW.

The dialogue with the bodyguard is very interesting. Makes me wonder about the way time works in the lisa setting.
