This vid is false af. 1. He doesn’t play violin so he can’t play it. 2. He doesn’t play the harmonica either. I happen to play it and it is piece of cake. 3. As for the tuba and it being 35 lbs, you can’t take a piano with you, you have to go to it, which makes it harder. 5. As with playing with the one finger, he just chooses a portion of a song to play. I’m having trouble seeing him playing the rest of that piece with one finger, or any other piece for that matter. I can go on forever
First day of piano in university, “good news students, you already have perfect articulation, timbre, intonation and can play the complete range of the instrument.”

Love your humor Sir !!! Spoken from someone who has spent their life around music. I love music, I’m a woodwind player, and can play some guitar. Piano overwhelms me. *Piano is the easiest instrument to learn... but the hardest to master.* edit: wow! thanks for the likes edit 2: yes, sorry I did not realize that someone already commented this before me..
These 5 reasons are true and this guy has a great sense of humour. Now, for those who don't know what this guy says here let me tell you that (unfortunately) there is no such thing as an easy instrument. Everyone can hit a key or a chord or blow a horn. The keys and chords will produce a sound. The horn may not in the beginning but eventually will too. But whoever believes that this alone is enough to make an instrument sing is a fool. Making noise is easy, opening your mouth to yawn or shout is easy. Singing is a different story.
Et Malleo Semper Vicit well no. Piano is for professionals. If the piano was only for casuals then why do we have professional classical music with piano. Now I think that yes. It is like driving. You can drive for a living and make your living as a driver. The other thing too is you can drive just for casual. Well, if you have to get places you have to drive of course. Well, that does not mean that you are pro at driving. You are getting yourself from one point to the other. Well,, playing the keys is no less. Haha!! Actually you can play for just a hobby and play for play, but then you have playing for pro. So piano is not just for casuals.
@@Dnava28music Yet you need a good deal of effort to make that first note. For example, in playing a performance recital, the complete change from a boisterous Brahms piece to a piece like Satie's Gymnopedies is not just a complete change in tone and technic, but requires a total mental change bedore that first note is even played. I always tell my students to mentally prepare and think about how they want that opening note to sound before playing it. For many instruments that require piano accompaniment, oftentimes the piano may begin the opening allowing for the soloist to have a moment to prepare bedore they come in.
It's not only about the skill of playing it, wich still takes years btw. More important is mastering the art of understanding music. No other instrument has the possibillities that the piano can give you when you master understanding music. Also, the piano is the best tool to master the understanding of music.
@@nervous_dachshund7489 No. If you have no knowledge of musical notation, and knowledge of playing other instruments before trying piano, then you are beginning from scratch. But if you pick up piano and already good at some other instruments then it's likely you get a head start.
Nah, easy to play advanced melodies. It's just that because of that, some composers write the HARDEST melodies and/or passages for piano, stretching it to its limits. There's only one thing that's hard to do on piano and that's play rapidly repeated notes or (even harder) rapidly repeated chords. And there are a couple things that are impossible, 1: you can't have a held note increase in volume (or even remain truly sustained in volume indefinitely), 2: you can't slur/bend notes on piano.
the *mayonnaise* requires time and effort, and takes 15 years of practice, 5 years of college, and 30 years to wait for your acceptance for the *mayonnaise* orchestra.
Just wanted to mention that I found this video today. It's my birthday, and moonlight Sonata is my favorite classical piece. Kinda a groovy coincidence.
NxvaSix I am be biased because I have been playing the drums only for 2 years, but it is very demanding. Along with it, if you are in band, you have to learn at least 20 other instruments and remember each and every thing about it. Always an over looked instrument in music.
Well, it's easy enough to learn a basic 4/4 rock beat. But making it sound great takes a lot more work, and that's just one miniscule aspect of drumming. Look up 'Chris Brien' and tell me how easy his playing looks :)
Everyone’s fighting at which instrument is the hardest but I’m pretty sure it depends on your skill set. (I’m using drums and piano as an example because I play those two instruments) If you’re unable to individually move your fingers, or have finger issues then perhaps piano would be harder to master for you. And you do need to be able to play multiple notes at different times and in different positions. Whereas for drums, you need to be able to move your limbs separately and at different speeds which some people find difficult to do. Not to mention you need to be flexible at moving your hands quickly to reach the next drum you want to hit, especially when you’re going fast. But with practice any instrument can be easy! (You do NOT want to see me when I first started playing the piano 😂)
Piano is harder as you have to play two different lines of music. I am a high level pianist and recently started playing the Bassoon. I found it extremely easy to play as it is only one line.
Daniel Collins Hey man it is rewarding to play one of the hardest instruemtns. I am a pianist for a living and it is so true. We can make our instruments look easy but in reality it is super complex. Now I think that we pianists can agree all the way man!!! You keep up playing those keys. Yes. Endless hours of prep and practicing. Repeating a lot of things and I have to say, people don’t really get what goes into playing the keys. That would bee like someone that I heard on RUclips one time. Flying a plane and opperating a train. Some guy I heard told an engineer that he would love to have his job because it is so easy. Breaks, excel, and bell and whistle. You don’t have to turn the train because it turns or steers itself. Well, the engineer told him “No. it is not easy. Actually it is a very strssful job.” I was amazed. I use this example because as you probably are aware of I am sure that you have had people say that playing keys is so easy. Once they understand what they have to do they are shocked. Then they see the overwhelming things that go into what we face as pianists every day. Like I heard a lot of people many times as I have asked the question. “What instrument if you could play one or your favorite one, which one would it bee.” I was amazed to hear their response and they all told me everything but the piano because everything but the piano is easier. Well, I guided to the piano aspect of it, and people and the reply I got from all of them was “Well, guitar, base, and drums, and all those instruments are easier. The piano takes so much time to work at.” Well, this is true. They all have told me to that piano is so difficult. They are ccorrect. We can play as pianists because we have been doing this for a long time. For me, I have been playing all my life, and actually if you want to tell people, you think acoustic pianos are hard go to digital pianos. Yes they have software and some of them have lessons but that is not the thing. With a digital piano you have if you have the onsombles you have to have the mentality of a whole band and orchestra. The main acoustic piano is hard enough as it is, but when you go to a digital it is even that much more built on what you know. Not only do you have to have the muscle memory of a pianist but you have to think about how every instrument should bee played bends and all. You have to emulate all of this with a digital piano. So I would encourage you to let people know their my fellow pianist. I am so glad I found your reply because I know that we think the same. You know what they say. Pianists do think a like a lot of the time. Also the thing that people don’t get is that pianists are folks who most of the time are working alone. We are always at the piano. Though we may get social with people, we really are spending most of our time isolated so we can think. This isolation though is a good thing. You have to have a lot of concentration as a pianist. Thanks man and we need to make people aware of what piano playing really is like. It is not as easy as 1 2 3. Stay awesome and keep playing those keys man, and I will do the same.
Mallory Moore a book. Lol!!!!!! No it is so true. I tend to write a lot, but this gives people kind of what it is like to play keys. Haha!!!!!!! I think I love writing lol!!!!!
Mallory Moore Hey Malory!!! You are super awesome, and don’t even worry about this haha!!! I took that as a joke haha!!!! I knew exactly what you were getting at. Well, I want to let you know that I am so happy that you are taking piano lessons. Great luck with your journey. You are going to have a lot of great experiences coming your way, and well, technically because you are starting piano lessons, you are going to bee a pianist so great job with your lessons and the only thing I would tell you is that what ever you do do not give up. That is all I have to say. Don’t give up. Keep moving forward even if some things become a little hard. You will get through it. Whish I could corasspond with you via email because you sound like a super person.
Hello from Greece!! I think that you make piano seem so easy to play! Oh, I have been learning for 10 years and still it 's a bit difficult.. It just needs hours and years of study to reach a good level and technic. And so it is for other instruments!! You are great, I love your videos and your excellent playing! I need to study hard to reach you...
It’s not that easy,I hate that false thing of “It’s so easy, I copy RUclips videos and know I play the piano”. Piano is more than that, you need a technique, rules, and concentration.
I took classical guitar lessons as a kid. I tried piano later in life and just found it incrediblly hard. I think it's just how you're fingers are trained to move.
I'm also à classical guitariste and I find piano way way easier. Just need to push a "button" to get a note, the note will always sound the same no matter where you press it. I find piano way less painful for left hand that it is for classical guitar. There are a couple of things I don't like with piano: you can't do vibratos and if I was a violinist I would probably miss crescendos
reasons why the piano is a DIFFICULT instrument: 1. because it is an instrument that needs a lot of coordination 2. because the piano has 2 lines of scores, which may confuse the reader 3. one can easily be mistaken for notes to be very equal 4. There are songs that force you to practice HOURS so you can learn them This shows that the piano is NOT so easy
Lol the violin has pieces that force you to practice for months so you can learn them lol (Actually any hard piece on any instrument will take you months lol)
Well you cant say some instrument his harder or easier. It depends on the song you play. What you can say is, that it is by far the most complex instrument, because you need 10 Finger coordination at any second you play and that over 88 Notes
1:14 Though being unable to transport the instrument you practice on has its own difficulties . . . Pianists have to continuously adjust to the different pianos in front of them. Some are very bright (even too much), for others they need to coax out the melody, and those adjustments need to be made on the spot in a festival/concert situation.
If you're moving house it's the most difficult instrument.

It's partly true. You need much less effort to make a sound on the piano.
@@Dnava28music Getting good at the piano is a whole other story though

Piano: easy to play simple notes. Hard to play advanced melodies. ( given that you begin from scratch )
“Begin from scratch”? Instead of what... just being born with piano playing abilities

NxvaSix I am be biased because I have been playing the drums only for 2 years, but it is very demanding. Along with it, if you are in band, you have to learn at least 20 other instruments and remember each and every thing about it. Always an over looked instrument in music.
Brooklynn Butterfield totally agree, in most music the drum kit is the time keeper, the bass and the depth to songs.
Drums is probably the hardest when professional level
Well, it's easy enough to learn a basic 4/4 rock beat. But making it sound great takes a lot more work, and that's just one miniscule aspect of drumming. Look up 'Chris Brien' and tell me how easy his playing looks :)

WTF okaaaay much fun 👍🏽
Everyone’s fighting at which instrument is the hardest but I’m pretty sure it depends on your skill set. (I’m using drums and piano as an example because I play those two instruments)
If you’re unable to individually move your fingers, or have finger issues then perhaps piano would be harder to master for you.
Me: "Well, I'm convinced. I'm going to learn to play piano!"
*Researches pianos and sees the price of a semi decent one...

It’s not that easy,I hate that false thing of “It’s so easy, I copy RUclips videos and know I play the piano”. Piano is more than that, you need a technique, rules, and concentration.
Oh the moon light sonata touches my heart directly
People: Is playing the piano easy, or is it hard?
Me: Yes.
There are a couple of things I don't like with piano: you can't do vibratos and if I was a violinist I would probably miss crescendos
reasons why the piano is a DIFFICULT instrument:
1. because it is an instrument that needs a lot of coordination
2. because the piano has 2 lines of scores, which may confuse the reader
3. one can easily be mistaken for notes to be very equal
4. There are songs that force you to practice HOURS so you can learn them
This shows that the piano is NOT so easy
@@whispers9344 maybe :/
Lol the violin has pieces that force you to practice for months so you can learn them lol (Actually any hard piece on any instrument will take you months lol)
r/wooooooooosh
R/wooooooosh
Well you cant say some instrument his harder or easier. It depends on the song you play. What you can say is, that it is by far the most complex instrument, because you need 10 Finger coordination at any second you play and that over 88 Notes
Piano: “I am the easiest instrument to play
Triangle: “Observe”
1:14 Though being unable to transport the instrument you practice on has its own difficulties . . . Pianists have to continuously adjust to the different pianos in front of them. Some are very bright (even too much), for others they need to coax out the melody, and those adjustments need to be made on the spot in a festival/concert situation.
