How Do I Fix “The App You’re Trying to Install Isn’t a Microsoft-Verified App”?
HTML-код

- ✳️ "The app you’re trying to install isn’t a Microsoft-verified app" message is the result of a simple setting you can change.
✳️ Not Microsoft verified?
Microsoft’s warning when installing non-Microsoft Store apps is for protection, but it can be bypassed. To install apps like EaseUS Todo, change settings to allow app installs from anywhere. This option, found under Settings - Apps - Advanced App Settings, gives you more flexibility but comes with the responsibility of making safe choices.

For everyone. If u have windows 11 s mode, u just need to disable the ,,s mode". Go to settings>system>activation>go to the store link and then a page will pop up with a button ,,get". thats all
You're a life saver. 😇
Thank you so much for this!!
Thank you
Thanks it helped a lot 👍🏻
YOU’RE A LITERAL LIFEEE SAVERRR. OMG IVE SPEND HOURS TRYING TO FIX THIS SHIT 😂😂
A perfect example of the "stonewall until they give up" philosophy of commerce.
I just bought an HP laptop with windows 11 and I did exactly what you said and when I searched “store” there was nothing that came up to change where my app comes from

For anyone's information, the default is "Anywhere". It's likely certain OEMs setting this to any other option. And no, this isn't S mode. You can't change this in S mode.
Windows 11 Pro build 22631.2428, clean installed in VMware, it sets "Choose where to get apps" to "Anywhere".
Same for my My Win11 Pro install, set to anywhere, not installed in vmware.
In my Windows 10 pro machine, I could not search for "store" or anything like that, i get instead "storage" related link. Getting very frustrated to get software installed without the "Microsoft Store" errot
If you have windows 11 S mode you have switch out of S mode just remember if you switch out you cant go back to S mode, in my case no biggie if I can't download software I use whats the point of having this laptop.
I can't choose where I get the app from.
It's not a setting.

Did you ever find out how to change this?
Choose where to install apps from doesn't pop up for me.? Why
Thank you Sir. This has been frustrating me for some time. Great and easy to follow advise. Please keep it up.
I just bought a new hp with windows 11 and i can't change mine either, help
Man, thank you very much!!! I was really stuck on this issue 🎉
Is Windows getting more Mac-like? And I ask that as a Mac-nerd. I do understand limiting where one can download apps is perhaps more secure, but annoying to users of 'un-verified' apps. Thanks, Leo, your videos help keep me updated on what's going on in Windows-land (and I use 'several' Win PCs for work).
No. They took the worst parts of Apple and Google while amplifying it by 10.
It's not an option
Does the setting show you an option to change because I’m not getting one either.
i dont have this thing and im so frustrated and bc of that i been crying for the past 20 mins ive watched like 10 videos ntg worked
I am not getting the option to change that particular setting.
Me either
But I don't have "choose where to get apps" on my computer
Thanks man, it was helpful.
I Need help.
1:47. In the settings on “Apps”, on my laptop (Windows 10) that option shows up directly, without having to search for "store".
Same here on my Windows 10 machine. Go to settings>apps and there at the top of the page is a drop down list for that option.
you are the man! just saved ma an hour of frustration.
I don’t have that option to choose where to get appts from - guess they left it out on this computer
Thank you!!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!
Thank you this helped a lot
Im narrowing it down to having to switch out of S Mode
I have literally never seen that message. 🤷
I was having this issue a little bit ago. I was going to add more space on my laptop, so it went away.
I always see it, on both Win 10 machines....it is good to see how to get an option...
Too weird. I WOULD guess that all of my apps have been approved by Microsoft, but I know for a fact that a lot of what I use hasn't been approved (or probably even looked at) by MS. (I don't use anything from the app store; most of my apps come from the www at large.)
The setting is set to "Anywhere" on clean installs.
@ThatRandomToast It totally is. I think there was an optional update or a manufacturers update that enabled it. Most likely, a peripheral could have been an update for a solid state storage device. I don't think any of us would truly know. That was the only things that was the same between the 2 laptops and a desktop that had this issue.
I dont have admin account
thank you
love it Gramps thanks
Yer welcome, kid.
Don’t workkk
I DID IT GUYS I Switched out of S Mode
My laptop doesn't have that option so how do i get around this, this is why i hate Microsoft, i got the laptop to run my guitar stuff on and i cant because of this bs
The repository should have happened long long ago.
thank
