I was there & had a car in this years 2024 Detroit Autorama & got to meet Dave & matter of fact I shared the photo today on my Facebook & IG page a great dude & deserves all his success 💯🏆😎✌️
Probably because every other word out of their mouths are curse words. You can't listen to this around your children or in most work places. Otherwise it would be a good podcast
I just wanted to say, that those $50k+ paint jobs. 75% of that cost is labor. Unless it's catastrophically down to the metal having issues. Fixing from the primer up would suck, but 5-7kish in product shouldn't bankrupt a guy. Throw in there, if the guy is a certified painter for the paint products used. The paint company will usually help out of it was deemed a product failure. Like mentioned, if a painter would tell them to F off. They'd be out of business. Or they'd be relegated to doing local car show quality work. I enjoyed this episode. I really, really enjoyed the part where Kevin talked about all the flaws. Every show quality paint job I do. I chase this white ghost called perfection. Knowing a 5 year, ridler winning build has flaws is major and should be talked about more. Not in a negative light, but how ridiculously hard it is to make everything perfect. At the end of the day. We shoot for these standards and results and 99.8% of the public will never notice the stuff that bugs us.
If you guys do end up coming to goodwood festival of speed / revival there is a few shops in the south worth dropping into if you end up going site seeing

Crazy how little views this podcast gets. I’ll do my part 👍
True statement. I love listening while I work in the shop. So nice to have content for like minded car people
