  • Day 3 backpacking in the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness along the Beaten Path Trail in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. One of the best backpacking trails in all of Montana just 30 miles East of Yellowstone. This beautiful 26 mile thru trail taking you from Cooke City to Red Lodge is one of the scenic areas in all of the Beartooth Mountains.
We start this video at Dewey Lake, due to a bridge outage at Rimrock Lake, we decided to hike back to Fizzle Lake where we could ensure a safe exit.

Another great episode! I was wondering what was going to happen with the bridge issue at Rimrock Lake, and that was answered early in this episode. It is my understanding that bridge might be worked on this year, but that remains to be seen. Hopefully your group is able to return again and finish the last half of that awesome trail. Looking forward to the next episode.😊

I heard there is now a big tree log you can use to pass. But don’t know how much you can trust that. Bringing my sister back in June of 2025! Plan on starting at the East Rosebud Trailhead the next time, assuming the bridge is repaired. Thank you so much for watching, glad you’re enjoying the videos!
