Pro tip: the blend knob shines when you have another OD in front. You get some of that OD leaking through in parallel with the stacked OD>Eras.
I was thinking about buying one of these specifically to try this.
I have the Ages and I'm really tempted to get this pedal and try BOTH with the dry blend.
Guitar terminology confuses me sometimes. I’m wondering, is the OD considered “in front” of the Eras if it’s before it? Kyle Bull as well as OP both said “in front” and I wasn’t sure if that’s technically correct.
So the signal chain would be:
Guitar > OD > Eras > Amp
I would assume that the OD is *behind* the Eras here if we’re talking in terms of pedal order.
This thing really sounds great. One of the few distortion pedals that I've found interesting in quite awhile.

Mode II has sound I liked more. Definitely this pedal will be next drive pedal I will buy. I already have Friedman BE-OD and REVV G3.
Mode 3 is so thick and crushing. Many people, myself included could be tube-fooled by 3.

The riffs you play at 6:35 sound exactly like something a really cool local HC band called Wide Man would play. Check em out, I think you’d really like them. Seen em live three times, their sets are incredible!
Not too big on Mode IV without the Tube Screamer on. I think there needed to be more bass from the Eras once the Tube Screamer was on.

Modes 4 and 5 are my jam. Great playing Kyle. This may be a purchase, although I just bought an amptweaker tight Metal yesterday at 1/2 price Memorial Day special and am awaiting that.

Sick pedal!! I usually don't like a pedal as the only distortion but that sounds good. Did you see buried alive got added to the holiday jam? All out war, buried alive, SFAR, WIC, rude awakenings, cruel hand, death threat, e town...WOW! 100% See you there .
This pedal is extremely powerful as a boost. It's scary when I turn the volume knob past 11.

Hey, I'm looking to get a KSR Eros or Walrus Audio 5 State OD or Distortion. Have you played the Eros?
It's expensive and curious if you think the Walrus pedals offer enough in EQ for more aggression and a tighter feel, etc.

A scooped mids tone is best for rhythm, it gets lost in the mix without mids. Not to mention I think the scooped mids settings are described by Walrus as being good for rhythm

How do you guys use the tube screamer with this pedal? Like level at 9 o’clock and gain at 3 o’clock and the tone at 12?

You know that scene were the guy does all the fancy sword work then indianna jones just pulls out a gun and shoots him? Thats how pedal vs amp distortion feels 100% of the time, no matter how fancy your pedal is, aint gonna hold up to an amp
This is true for single gain staged distortion pedals sure, but if you're cascading multiple types of gain together it gets just as huge sounding. Personally I've found a Tubescreamer style drive with a light amount of gain feeding a muff style fuzz sounds incredibly huge. My current favorite gain stack is my Lovepedal Eternity (TS style OD) > BAT Black Forrest (colorsound overdriver) > BAT Pharaoh (highly tweaked Russian muff that has flat mids) > Boogie Mark V crunch channel set to just barely breaking up. Honestly it sounds better to my ears than any gain flavor than my Boogie can put out.
