📜 Description 📜
--------------------------------------------
Samsung skipped the classic watch last year, but this year it's back. The physical rotating bezel of the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic is its signature look. And you'd be surprised how functional and useful it is. But when you hold it in your hand, the bezel and its movement doesn't feel very premium; good quality, but not premium. Rotating the bezel means moving from one step that you can feel to another. However the current level can stay in between two steps and this can potentially trigger one's OCD!
The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has an Exynos W930 processor that’s up to 18% faster than the one running Watch 5. It has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. So they’ve bumped the amount of RAM, but not the storage. These days I see most watches of the same class, coming in 32GB of storage. The storage is even more important on Galaxy watches, because it’s not just some limited apps and music. You can record your voice, you can have pictures stored on it and of course lots of apps and songs as well.

The most comprehensive review i've seen of this watch yet. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
I agree. One of the underrated channels.
Shame on you Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has an awful battery, why isn't Samsung using the same dual screen technology just like the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro 5?! 😡
The dual screen technology has an AMOLED display + an Ultra Low Power screen.
Just got my Galaxy 6 Classic (47mm) in silver yesterday. It fits my wrist perfect. Not too big or bulky at all. The setup took about 15 minutes. I spent another 30 minutes configuring it. This is my 1st smart watch. I like the easily configurable watch faces. I used the BMI, ECG and skeletal muscle features. All worked flawless. The heart rate monitor is great. Bottom line is the health features are fantastic. I made and received calls and texts without my phone. Again, works flawlessly. Even the battery is better than expected and it charges quickly - 85% in about 30 minutes. Setting up Google Assistant was super easy and it syncs with your Samsung/Android phone. I really like it. So far so good!
Mine comes in on Friday and I got the same thing, if you don't mind me asking..how comfortable is it while you sleep? Also not sure if you workout or go for a run..is it something that is noticeable?
If you ever get a chance , try an Apple Watch. It is wayyyyy smoother and no hiccups or lag when navigating the UI
@@theone-fh4re Its great. It's sleep monitoring works well. Everything with this watch works very well. Connected it to 2 bluetooth devices - PowerBeats Pro & a Bose speaker. Then used the Spotify app and it tied right into my Spotify acct. Used the login from my phone and *POOF* Spotify works great. No phone necessary. I am charging it right now on my Z Flip 4 phone using the 'Power Sharing' feature on the phone. Its not as fast as the included wireless charger that comes with the phone but in a pinch it's great.
@@shebjjeje9720 No thanks. My wife has one and its buggy.
@@theone-fh4rehe answers literally all your questions in the video.
Love the push button strap to swap out quickly. Much needed for a long time now. Going to buy some 20mm bands for my watch 4 classic.
Rockin OS 4 One UI Beta and it is nice! Third beta anyway.
Have everything the watch 6 has except skin temp monitor.
Battery life is still good for a GW that is. Close to 2 days light use and a bit over a day with heavy use. Do like the bigger screen and thinner bezel on the 6.
Faster processor too, but not enough to switch even with the $200 trade in. Hold for now.
Great review.
I'm an Apple watch owner and I agree with you, before buying my aw i really wanted to have a galaxy watch 😅
Fantastic video as always!
Hi! Does it have a route track back function? Thank you in advance
I have the gw4 classic and an iPhone. All u need is a Samsung phone to activate it and use it separately from the phone. If u dont care about phone notifications then you can get the watch and enjoy it with out the phone
How do I get upgrade sofeware on my galaxy 6 classic , still shows March upgrade
What you said about the rotating bezel is true. It's annoying at the very least!
Can you get apps from phone to watch many thanks
How would you compare classic 6 to venu 2 plus?
Can you change the ''Wach face'' on this watch like on the Galaxy 47mm ?
I wanna upgrade from my watch 4 classic 46mm, but idk if I want 47mm or the other size because of the weight. (Mostly because my watch 4 classic may have kicked the bucket today)
On 11/21/23 I purchased the galaxy watch 6 classic 47mm. And I must say, this smartwatch is awesome!! I really like the design, the bigger display is noticable, and it fits perfectly on my wrist!! I spent $150 bucks after trading-in my galaxy watch 4 44mm.
Can you make a video showing how messages look and how easy it is to send them?
Can I use it with Xiaomi phone?
I got the exact same combo black hybrid leather band and black 47mm! Best combo if you don't like that flashy look of the silver.
Enjoy your new unit! Has it arrived yet?
@@RyansTechMedia yes it arrived one day early. Very satisfied so far.
What is the size of your wrist? Seems like that band is too big. Is that the large or medium?
great content, thanks. my garmin 955, aod, gps etc lasts at least a week between charges.....could never give that up no matter much your video makes the watch 6 look good!!!
Same but I have the enduro 2☺️😄
Great watches guys, thanks for watching!
My Huawei Watch GT2 is three years old and still almost does the full fortnight. I do take it off every night while i shower etc after work so i bought this to see if it changes anything whatsoever. I'll just charge it at the times it's normally off my wrist regardless.
It's not the ecosystem that stops the watch from working with iphone. It's the fact that it now uses wear os . And google didn't release the wear os app on iphone
Now that's a review. Great work.
Much appreciated!
I tried on both sizes at bestbuy today. The 47mm screen was beautiful but it was huge! If I wanna make a watch statement 24/7 then that would be the one to go for. The 43mm felt like an accessory as a watch should be. I'm looking for notifications and minimal health tracking. I already have the fold so I have enough big screens already
Ps wrist size is 6.8in
Thanks for sharing Matti!
Thanks for the video Nixe review ! Do you recommend upgrading from galaxy watch 5 pro ?
Not at all! The Watch 6 Classic isn't the next version of the 5 Pro. These are two different classes of watches. If they announce a 7 Pro next year, then you can think of upgrading.
Tidal support??
Just figured out how to connect it to my cell carrier's network so I can make calls with it without having the phone with me. Now I'm happy with it.
Hey i might have missed it if you said in the video. But what is your wrist size? Would help me decide whether i want to 43 or 47! Thank you! Awesome video btw.
It's around 6.7 inches. Thanks for watching!
Hi great video
I have galaxy 23 ultra which watch should i buy the gw 6 classic or ticwatch 5 pro or any other you suggest
and I don’t have any specific use I am looking for the best watch overall
If you're looking for better battery life and a lighter watch, get the 5 pro. If you want a bezel and smaller battery life, get the 6.
I have 44m not the classic tho..
I want to get the classic 43m
Measured my wrist and its 17.5cm (or around 6.8 inches)...do you think the 47mm would look too big on my hand? I wanna preorder GW6 Classic and I am heavily conflicted.
Edit: Went to a tech store that had GW6 Classic both sizes and I decided on 47mm. Turns out they aren't that big in person and I think 47 fits quite nicely. If u have 6.8 inch wrist like me or wider, go for 47
dont you have samsung store (or other good electronics store) nearby? You can go there and try it on your hand.
@@RockerFinck nope, the one that was relatively close to me had permanently closed, the only thing left is samsung service where they stopped selling gadgets and devices, they only repair now. Maybe if some 3rd party stores or samsungs partners have them already I'll check
Sometimes best buy will get them in, but itll prob be a while.
@@darna02with your wrist size, Id just go with the 47 mm. It wont look oversized to anyone who is looking at, you gotta realize most people are staring at you that hard trying to decide if your watch should be 4 mm bigger or smaller lol.
I ordered the 47 mm, but I dont like smaller watches so it also depends on your preference.
@darna02 You're gonna be just fine with the 47mm based on the size of your wrist!
the 47mm looks goofy on any wrist smaller than 8 inches. It's also annoying to wear with jackets, long sleeve shirts and wearing to bed.
Accurate gps?
Battery life??
I bought Epix 2 pro month ago. Did I go wrong?
Absolutely not, it's a great watch! You sure are missing out on WearOS and its features, but you're getting many other cool features and a rugged build.
I fix the battery life issue. I bougtht 2 galaxy watch 6 44mm. I do 24h with the watch no 1 , put on charge and start the next 24h with the watch no 2. =perpetual battery life.
What the best Samsung phone
13:01 oh so dont charge the watch to 100%? I was wondering if the 20% to 80% was still necessary on a this since it dies so quicky for a watch.
Also, for somethong that "quick charges" it took me 1hr and 50 mins to hit 100% from 14% using a 30w offcial google pixel charger. That's as long as it takes the actual phone to charge. That doesnt seem quick.
Good review btw. Very informative compared to others who all just gloss over everything we already know.
Thanks @lilmario0! You're right about the battery life. The 20%-80% rule is the ideal way of charging it and long-term you're gonna see the benefits, while on a day to day basis, it can actually be annoying. But even if you charge it at 5%-95%, it's still better than letting the watch die and charging it to 100% every time and of course occasionally breaking this rule is totally ok!
my wrist width is 18 cm what size watch should I buy
The 47mm would be a good choice.
My only complaint so far is battery life. Especially since i have always on display turned off.
Sarah, did you get the 43mm or 47mm?
Trying to get some browm leather watch bands for my silver 6 classic. Any recommendations?
Buy the official Samsung one.
My wrist is 15cm, and if I get the classic, I'm rooting for the 47mm
Thanks for sharing Hen!
@b34stm1lk what do you think for a 16-16.5cm? I wear a g-shock ga2100 and at first it looked big, but its light and it wears "small". im more worried about the lugs being too far apart and being awkward on my wrist
@b34stm1lkfor sure. I have a 18.5 cm wrist and I feel that the 47 mm watch is a bit big even for my large wrist size. But it's growing on me
I hear with with wear os 4 you can now switch your watch to different phones without having to reset it
Yes, that's been true since they moved from Tizen OS to wear OS. I was able to do this with my Watch 4 classic, but not my watch 3.
@@eleazargarza8841 I just tried with my watch 5 pro and it indicated I have to reset it
Hi can we use this for swimming?
Yes, absolutely
@RyansTechMedia Thanks for the prompt response. Your the man !
The Garmin Fenix 7 lasts 37days days days!
The only thing i hate about samsung galaxy watch is it's bazel...m using watch 4 classic LTE 46mm... Everything seems good except it's bazel .. it makes it more bulky
the battery is comming good afther 3 days
It's not gonna be magically different, but you're right, for the first two days the watch learns about your usage pattern.
@@RyansTechMediaoh depending your use it can be majorly different
I will keep my 5 pro better battery Better Built with titanium
Of course, it's practically new I guess! If they release another Pro watch next year then you can think about upgrading.
Hiya I purchest my Galaxy watch 6 47 mm. The only problem I had with the watch was the strap was it wasn't big enough for my wrist. I had put the strap on the second hole, so I've got myself a msatle band, and now it's sorted. The metal bodie watch should have a meetal strap.
Currently 12hr battery used on the 6 47 Classic. It's saying 29hr remaining. AOD off, but all other full time stress and hr etc on. O2 and temperature during sleep too. It's not bad, but compared to my Fenix, it's hard to decide between the Wear OS features like GPay, and the sports utility of the Garmin, the Samsung is just nowhere near good enough for serious fitness. Pace, elevation gain, things like that are all over the place.
Id agree all the way, even if anybody is into monitoring things for everyday health & fitness & keeping in shape the Garmin is WAY better, just in every way possible, even the basics like the steps are way way more accurate than the Samsung be fore Calibrating! Owning the Epix 2 Pro has been a big eye opener for me, it seemed with my galaxy classic every time I wanted to do a workout - the damn watch needed charging - that was such an annoyance!
not happy with the battery
auto cycling detection ?
Yep
I got the blk 47 but not sure why but I feel like I should of gotten the Silver one. Coming from blk galaxy watch3.
Great video bro👍
I regret buying the black version, should of bought the silver instead
No GPX import like 5 model. Are you kidding me? Absolutely no value for money. Smaller battery. Old chipset. Heavy and bulky (wrist furniture). No premium material (like lighter titanium on 5 model). Why?
Almost like GW4's battery life
Hi you arę always do sad😢
Did..did he say it's been done right this time? aside from the fact that it looks almost identical to the 4 classic and has the dame pathetic battery, what's done "right"? I'll assume you're talking about the quick realise straps lol.
I held off because I HATE the 5 pro looks, the 4 classic's battery drove me crazy. But I was stupid enough to think samsung would fix all the complaints on the 4 classic AND 5 pro and make a classic with great battery.
Man was I gullible. So, I guess I have no choice but to go to the 5 pro now. It's still more expensive than the 6 classic, but I'm sure I'll sniff out a bargain somewhere.
Why didn't you watch the whole video? He was talking about the skin temperature compared to its usual implementation.
Nah the exynos is better
Ok
It's though. The snapdragon w5 is much faster.
@@ChristopherPoitras no its not
Would this be the ideal watch to get even though you already have the Apple Watch Ultra but just switch both watches every other day?
To be honest I don't think so. And liked I said in the video, you need to have Android phone (preferably a Galaxy phone) to use this.
@@RyansTechMedia I have an S23 Ultra for work
