You should clean up BEFORE taking off the mask so you don't breathe in the left over, and the dust in the air still.

Keep a micro fiber cloth in your back pocket.
How often do you need to change the filters? After each use?
You change filters when it becomes hard to breath, the filters work exactly like you HVAC filters, once full air won’t be able to get through
