    I road 37" BFG KM3's on my 2022 power wagon, On stock rims! No rubbing not even at full term the BF g's Fit a little small at 36.5 true. Ran them All this season, Put them through their paces through to trails in the rocky mountains and logging roads.I just put on 35" Mickey Thompson Baja boss AT's, These are a true 35", for 2 long road trips then winter Up in the Canadian rockies.
    Putting the 35's on After having the 37's Look to me almost like the 33 dura tracks😅😅😅 As a 30 year Jeep guy it makes me sad🤣🤣👍 We'll be posting up more videos of this season's shenanigans just got back from a good trip with with the 37" bfg's towing an off road trailer high up in the mountains They're Roger's pass BC.

      If I didn't off road almost every weekend I would have stayed with the 35 inch tires. Its a fairly easy decision with 35s matching the truck perfectly while having the choice to do 37s for a lot of off-roading is awesome. Hopefully other manufacturers make the wheel wells slightly larger to accommodate larger tires without cutting.

      That's what I landed on myself. 33's were a tad small for me. Even with a leveling kit and some cutting 37's still rubbed. After trying some 35" BFG KO2's, I loved the way it looked and handled (no road noise). I only do moderate off roading so I went with a 2" spacer to give it a nice stance. Honestly I'm happy with it.

  • @mikebromelow8514
    @mikebromelow8514 13 дней назад

    Practically speaking, the biggest reason to want larger tires is so that you're able to air them down without dragging your diffs or underbelly while driving off road.
    33's are ridiculous on this truck as it is supposed to be set up for serious off roading what with the rock crawling low range gearing and winch and all.
    It should have come with a minimum of 35" tires stock, with the ability to run 37's without rubbing. As it is from the showroom, it's clear that a committee was responsible for the final product. It's not great at anything other than highway driving and gravel roads with those undersized 33's.
    The whole vehicle is way too big for any serious off roading anyway unless you modify it to run 40's and even then it's just too long.

    Quick question not sure if anyone still checks this. I'm having a dilemma with my daily drive/colorado weekend warrior 2016 ram rebel. I ended up going to a 28575R17 Measures out about 33.8. From what I've been reading 35's/315 is about 34.6. I was debating on moving up to that next most of the terrain here looks like what you're on in this video. Someone else suggested 2857518. Measures out depending on tire between 34.8 to 35.1. Do you think that would be a better medium more height/clearance but roughly the same sidewall height as a 315 with less width for daily driving/lack of fuel economy stuff? Not many choices in that size though. The only issue I'm seeing with the 315's is that with the rebel it sits super close to the upper control arm. I'm not sure if that would interfere when airing down. Sorry for the newb questions.

      Kept the 4.10 gears the truck came factory with. Added the AEV ProCal Snap to calibrate the speedometer and tire pressure monitor. 35's are a great upgrade on the factory wheels with no rubbing. 37's need a different offset wheel with very slight rubbing using a smaller 37 like the BFGoodrich KO2 coming in at 36.5.

    Good video. There was nothing the 37’s or 35’s did that the 33’s couldn’t do. Ram has spent millions engineering this truck and have put 33’s on it for a reason. The 33’s give the truck a great balance between rock climbing, the ability to traverse steep, rocky, muddy, snow covered trails with ease, and also maintain the ability to tow a decent load. They also give it good manners on the road. I doubt anybody putting 35” or 37” tires on this truck are automotive engineers. When I see someone say “ I’ve been running 35’s with no issue” the caveat here is- no issues yet. I can tell you from experience, it gets really expensive when you have to start replacing ball joints, and drive train components like transfer cases and differentials. To each his own, just don’t walk around thinking that Ram engineers don’t know what their doing.

      I agree with you to a point, but I also think fuel mileage, cost of materials/maintenance, drivability and safety considerations play a much larger role here. A 35” tire is not going to stress the driveline components on these trucks in any meaningful way. Hell, Jeep is offering 35’s on wranglers….I’ll be damned if the 2500 isn’t exponentially tougher than that! Even lighter and less robust trucks like the Raptor and TRX or other HD’s like the Superduty Tremors are all running 35’s.
      I imagine that if driven as designed and not abused, a 37” tire will not hurt that 8HP75, the AAMs or that case. These trucks are tanks.
