  • This is my review of the Blizzard Brahma 82 Ski.
    I have the 173cm
It is fantastic int he buys and it crushes arcs.
It is also very easy to slide around and do snowplows with my kids.
This is a fantastic teaching ski and is a valuable weapon in my quiver.

Best review ever! I don't have kids and Im only 37 but I've been skiing the 88 version from 2018 and love it. When conditions are firm and chalky you can't beat it! My friends on big mountain skis always say I look like Im having more fun than them! Super fun GS turns and maneuverability in the bumps. When conditions are more stout I grab my Cochise.

100% spot on. Based on this review I bought the exact ski and size. East coast skier, 44 years old, 5'10, 165lbs. These things rip...loving the turn radius. Really appreciate the content!

Thanks. I bought the Brahma 82 after this video and now off to a skiing week with my kids and my slower skiing wife…my son always takes me to the tight trees and my 6y old daughter will require me to
Make a lot of short turns…so exactly the same use case. I will report back…greets from Germany.

I just bought my second pair, 2024 model in 173cm. My first pair was the 2022 model in 180cm. It’s too bad they are discontinued after this season 😢

You're so skilled. I tried these skis last weekend, and on "crowded" trails I thought it was pretty fast. After just 2 or 3 carving turns I had to slow down or make sure I had enough room to be able to keep control of the situation. I'm light and it sent me in the air on every turn transition (bad technique ?) when I took more angle and applied pressure. Love your review !

So much better for the midwest and east than the 88 version, same goes for the west in low tide or if you spend most of your time on groomers. Groomed, bumps, trees, etc, just does it all well. I'd only want something wider on more than 6" of fresh. It starts to get sketchy over 45 MPH, but at that point you should be on a race ski or backing it down anyway.

Thanks! You mentioned in the video that if your back hurts a lot this is a good ski…why is that? I have a back problem so anything to ease the pain sure would be great!

I mean, that's like the right size for you but you could obviously handle a bigger ski. @@skidadTV

A softer ski puts less force on your body.
      Sorry for the late response!

My favorite ski is 187 98mm under foot. The 82 in a 173 still gets the job done though!

Do you think I would overpower the 180 at 6’3 / 280? I prefer more medium turns and my local hills are short (700 feet) and I ski with kids a lot, which is why I’m considering the 180 over the 187

I am 177 cm long and weigh in at 85 kg. Would you recommend the 180 or the 173. I am also a ski instructor but in Sweden and in Norway. I am only 20 years old and rather athletic so the 180 might be fine? Or maybe I should look at the 88 in a 177 length?

I have a co worker at Deer Valley who has the 180 (82) and he looks great on it and loves it.
My next pair will be the 180

  • @whoisthe1412

So what is the main difference between this and the 88? Have you try the 88?

    • @skidadTV
      @skidadTV  2 года назад +2

      ruclips.net/video/M8h6leOEbyg/видео.html
The 82 is the same ski just more nimble and quick.
In the attached video I’m on the 183 Brahma 88. Decide which style of skiing you like better and go with that model.
