@@derekpintozzi2498 what a stupid question, no offent. I mean, we can see he’s as good as rousseau when it comes to technique, so it’s about interpretation. If I play a piece i’ve mastered, it’s exactly what I want from it, like it can’t get any better because it’s the way i like it and i want to play it, same by traum i guess.
@@derekpintozzi2498 oh i see, and yes, he played technically harder pieces than rousseau. Rousseau plays perfect, nearly robotic and traum interpreters more, so you can’t really compare them but like i said, traum played technically more difficult pieces.
This. This actually made me feel something. I’ve heard this piece before, but could never feel what Scriabin was trying to describe. The way you play, though, brought it all out, I can feel every note inside my heart. This is beautiful.

If you are a pianist of top calibre, I think you can fully perfect a piece of this difficulty in two weeks. Not that I am; I've been on this piece for two months and counting :'-)
I guess the reason is that the channel is established for only five months. Most for who want to do this kind of performance must have learned a lot of pieces. Maybe he is just playing the pieces that ha has already learned for a long time.
Oh my goodness!!! This piece destroyed my soul when I attempted to play it, and showed me I am but a mere mortal. Scriabin is a BEAST and this man playing it is the man. Its like dude was like, "you know what's fun? Polyrythmns. Let's just make a song of that." Been playing for a very long time and still struggle with polys. Any tips you've found that are effective??? Thank you!!
Wow really good performance, much better than Rousseau's version and at 0:36-0:40 that buildup and then the sudden soft moments is so beautiful. You played it like Horowitz himself!
Btw, I’m pretty sure the section with the counter melody starting at 0:52 is done with the middle pedal. So imagine him shuffling both of his feet while playing while playing the actual music.
Honestly I'd right now, i'd like to hear an interpretation of this piece played at Rousseau's tempo and Traum's dynamics. Great preformance btw! i love this piece. Edit: nevermind what i just said. Traum's interpretation transcends what i thought was possible with this piece
I started practicing this piece last Feb-Mar 2020... Now, I'm still practicing it... LOL! I need to play the part starting at 1:45 over and over again just to perfect it... This is amazing and you have a very balanced finger... I'm only an amateur piano player (never taught by any professionals) and my weakest finger is my left ring finger. I was thinking of injecting steroids on my left ring finger just to induce muscle formation fast... HAHA!!! Kidding aside, amazing piano playing!
Thanks Dominique. Scriabin Etude is not an easy piece, especially for the amateur pianist. but I believe that it is good practice for you. Don't give up!!👍
You did a great job, your performance was very similar to how Horowitz played this piece, all he did different was highlight the bass notes more and just of course the supreme Horowitz dynamic control

Phenomenal performance 👏👏👏👏👏 Although i do think you could have listened to the 32nd note rests a bit more (at the ends of the phrases, for instance at the end of the second, fourth and sixth bars with the climbing sixteenth note octaves)
Your interpretation is one of the best. Congrats! May I ask a question: In bar 4 beat 1 and bar 5 beat 1 in the left hand, do you recommend to play the base tone together with right hand cord or do you recommend the upper note together with right hand cord ? Although I realised that in bar 2/beat 1 (l.h.) you are playing an octave d# and in bar 3/beat one you play octave f#. Is this intentionally ? In my sheet music they are both d#/f# ?
Much better than Rosseau's version. Do like the sudden soft moments before building up.
