I just visited the store yesterday and guess what, no steel sports models at all!!! What's the point of the biggest Rolex Store not having any steel sports models!?
Yeah, whenever I visit a Rolex boutique or a Rolex dealer I have now made it a habit to look at all the Datejusts and then say loudly: "I think you should stock up on the popular models." and then leave the store 😂
@@user-wi9nn6dz8w Yesterday I visited the Rolex store at Singapore Changi T3 and they had a total of 5 (!!!) men's models. All two tone. And 4x GMT SS as display models. I was nice to her (not the employees fault the store carries shit) and she told me they should be getting new stock any day now. If you can camp out in the terminal for a few days this week or so might be your lucky day!
@@bee1978 Dear, nothing in this world has more worth than a human life. All these brands and millions of people like you, go to gulf to earn more money without paying any tax because of these Arabs. They welcome you, give you respect. Please be human.
I think the whole Rolex shortage things is much more than just 'withholding' stock. If that was the rationale, why would a flagship store like this be withholding them. Doesn't make sense to me.
ADs don't just give you high-demand pieces when you're just a random guy who walked in there for the first time. You have to create a relationship with them and gain their trust, some people are just looking to buy then resell for above retail
blumoonz this is why the strategy of holding back warranty papers etc. is being used in certain places. I for one do not mind it. Make warranty etc. non-transferable for one year to stop flippers or at least dent the market value by not having box and papers.
blumoonz that’s what’s happening anyway with their “relationship customers” or the grey market would be flooded with them. Rolex should flood the ADs and kill the grey market.
If you really want to see a good watch store in Dubai Mall go to A. Lange & Söhne. The staff is extremely well trained and exceptionally friendly and they also have a watchmaker who is happy to show you things you are interested in. The people in that Rolex store struck me as checking you out whether you have money to spend or not. They look at your Vacheron Constantin and don't seem to know what it is. The store of Sediqqi with the independent watch brands is fantastic though. Great conversations and fantastic service!
Thank you Emkwan for sharing the experience and giving a fantastic narrative on the store design and the Rolex inspired elements. So cool and larger than life feel - the oyster bracelet door was amazing.

Umm... I hate to break this to you, and it is an insider thing... but there is no shortage. Rolex just won't sell to the flippers and spivs. You have to be a major player, well-known to the AD.
