@@mierezsaturday1452 this is a weird one, it really took me multiple wears that left me with a giant question mark to “get it”. I appreciate all the support 🙂
I agree so much! To me this is ironically either the kind of fragrance you deeply love as to make it your signature fragrance or you just despise it. In the middle ground, I think there’s us, perfume lovers, who enjoy expanding horizons and have a fetiche for challenging smells (but most likely would never wear it). My description of the target: A bold woman 30+ who works in a creative industry and that goes to many places in one day, meets many people a day and of course, the fragrance is part of being remembered. I agree is mostly a women’s scent mostly because of the massive obnoxious floral opening, however the dry down gets more unisex. My point of comparison for the dry down is similar to The moon FM, but watered down, maybe because of the lack of oud, which in any case I’d encourage to try this one, one of my all time favorites!
Yes! You hit it on the head, we are the middle ground that explores :D I don't have too many issues with the floral notes other than being super duper loud. Gets better in the drydown as you mentioned :)
Mate, your channel deserves a lot more attention. The way you break down the wearing experience is what makes it special and rare. Keep going! I would love to have some of your suggestions as someone who is considering diving into the niche world of fragrances. I love those fresh, clean, airy, sophisticated and versatile scents like L'Eau D'Issey (the og), Chanel's Bleu, Edition Blanche and Platinum Egoiste. My first foray into niche was with MFK's Gentle Fluidity Silver and Masculin Pluriel. Both smell great to me, but didn't floor me enough to pay the premium price. Hermès' Eau Givrée smells great too, but lacks some serious backbone. What do you think? By the way, you kind of remind of a younger Harrison Ford - am I the only one noticing it? :)
Thanks for the long comment and sorry for not replying earlier. Here are my suggestions for wearable unique scents: Amouage Reflection Man Xerjoff 40 Knots Marc Antoine Barrios Ganymede Obviously these are expensive and I don’t recommend blind buying but they could be a good start to see what you like. No one told me I look like Harrison Ford 🤣
Thanks for this one. I went through two 2ml samples and chances are I'm gonna buy it. I like the floral opening, I do not get any green notes, but I do get some leather in the dry down which makes the scent interesting. The musky base is somehow extremely"artificial": to me it is as if the hooker you are talking about was not "human" but an AI (bluntly put, a doll). Again, this is what I love in this scent: that it is such an artifact, not "natural". Nudi-florum: once the flower has been picked up and lay naked, then there's no value left in it. Cheers, Alex
this is one of those! Took me a long time to get to grip with it and I still have more understanding to do! A similar fragrance with the same vibe but easier is Aqua Regia by Xerjoff; unfortunately there is no supporting marketing :S
In comparison to Encelade, Nudiflorum had a clear flowery, vegetal opening. Encelade is a little heavier at least in the opening. Also I think encelade performs better (not that it is at all necessary) to the point where it will balm up a whole room. These perfumes are kind of avant garde. yet I do feel very comfortable wearing them outside on a cold day. they have a warming effect and do not flag. They smell very similiar to prada paradox intense which is very popular with ladies where I am at the moment.
I have a sample of Encelade and plan to test it out on a video, not really sure what to pair it with, maybe just with Tilia to check out the other stuff from MAB as a house.
@@SeldomlyOften you could try Prada Paradox Intense as for her and Encelade for him though encelade is very unisex to me. Tilia might be a good pairing. You will recognise the same perfumery in them.
I’m absolutely intrigued. I love that imagery of a masked dirtiness. I have pardon which I love, definitely not an every day and I find them all collector pieces and just love sniffing them from time to time. I will add this to my list.
"Sessions" a respectful PC descriptor. 😆 Never tried this one, but it sounds quite interesting. Any chance at including some AI-generated images to go along with your evocative descriptions? Before George (The Fragrance Apprentice) embarked on his next hiatus, he started using them quite frequently in his reviews and I still consider them to be future staples in online perfume reviewing. Love the "gravitational" aspect you mentioned. 😆
AI image of a hooker "powdering up" between sessions? hahaha Joking aside, I want to improve the production quality but right now I publish very often and sustainability is high priority :)
I have had this perfume for 3 months and every time I smell it, it smells different. I still don't know what to think of it. What surprised me the most was that I got a lot of compliments the last time I wore it, which is not the case with the other perfumes I have. Sometimes I am scared to wear it, I cant decide when is the right time or occasion. Thank you for the review, this is one of the best fragrance channels on yt.
I am no fan of these brands that try to be blasphemous and trashy to the max just to justify their existence in the niche sector. I liked pardon, but don't particularly like any of the other releases of that brand. Great review nevertheless.
First of all, it’s not a men’s perfume. And I can describe it in a few words: an imitation of Chanel 19 vintage (because I know what Chanel 19 used to smell like). Ok? There, you have it!
