Aww I grew up outside of DC! Makes me miss it. Also when they open up definitely check out the Natural History Museum. It is right next to two other museum you guys and the kids would love for free. The Holocaust museum and the WWII monument are my other favs. DC has the best (and usually free) museums in the whole country as well as stunning architecture so don’t forget to look up!
You and your family should definitely check out Old Town, Alexandria! Super family friendly, lots of cute shops and restaurants, and a beautiful boardwalk to walk along the Potomac River. Also recommend going to the zoo & to the other Smithsonian museums once they all open back up in a few weeks. Also, check out the Basilica of the National Shrine in DC as well! I’m from Alexandria but still love to do all the touristy things haha

Never clicked so fast! I recently moved to DC from NoVA (originally from South FL) and it was so fun watching you guys visit familiar places! The Bible museum looks really nice, I will add that to my list of places to visit in DC.

Love DC! My 8th grade class took a couple day field trip there & Gettysburg, it was super cool to see everything and all the museums/monuments. Watching this brought back a lot of memories for sure 😌
My eighth grade class also went to Gettysburg and DC on the same trip since it was on the way to D.C. It was all fun! We stayed at the Amera Sweets in Maryland.
I live near HBG PA and DC or Baltimore Harbor are my FAV day trips! Riley will love the museums, very interactive for kids!

The Bible Recap by Tara Leigh Cobble is so good to help break down the Bible and not only help you understand it, but to enjoy it and look forward to reading the word. She has a 5-8 minute podcast everyday after you read a few verses to explain everything!
Yessss!!! I love the Bible recap. I actually had sent it to her in the DM back in January but I don’t think she saw it. It is a great way to read the Bible and follow along with what you don’t understand.

I’ve lived in VA for like 13 or 14 years now, and I’ve been to DC probably a dozen times, and now I’m over it lol. I haven’t been back in a very long time and it’s only like a 40 min drive 🤦🏽♀️ I’m not proud lol. I’m sure you were the same way with some places in Miami.

Hi Kayla i am a regular follower of your vlog. My son has very very similar traits as Jackson. We love to travel as well. Can you share how you manage your little ones during car trips. My little one gets really bored and starts fussing. I give him toys but after a while i have to show him cartoon videos otherwise he will scream. Please show on road video with little ones.

Dc must be strict with mask mandates, never really seen you guys wear them outside that much. I don’t wear outside because the germs can’t stay in one place with air moving and sunlight.
