Rob, my wife and I just returned from an 8 day vacation in DC yesterday. I cannot overstate how valuable your videos were to help us prepare for our experiences in and around DC. I will be telling anyone I know going to DC to watch your videos.
Keep up the good work.
Happy to hear it!
Thank you for all your wonderful and informative videos. Thank you for the heads up on the ongoing construction and upcoming fare increases this summer.
You're welcome!
My family just returned from DC and everyone was impressed with my knowledge of the area, metro, buses, etc. I told them it wasn't me its all Rob from Trip Hacks DC.
Wow, thanks!
I'm going to D.C In January Next year, i'm so hyped! binging all your videos!! From Australia
From Australia, in January!? Make sure you bring enough cold weather clothing LOL.
@@Salmagundiii Lol, will do!!
Hi Rob! Any tips for seniors traveling to DC. My parents will be there in October. They’re still mobile; just a little slower and long walking tours probably not a good idea for them.
Rockin'. Thanks a bunch dude.
You're welcome.
I’m a local and still love your videos 😄
Nice! 😀
I have two tips: Do not underestimate the distances on the Mall. The Mall is very walkable but the distances between memorials is bigger than you think. If it’s humid hop a circulator bus to the other end…..no shame. The other is to HYDRATE!! I guess this falls under the great shoes category perhaps.
Hey Rob, love your videos! I'm wondering if the Wharf is worth and afternoon visit?
My own impressions after first visit -- very clean subway compared to NYC, Uber is very cheap, art museum and air & space museum closed (but portrait gallery is open), Chinatown is a joke, too many young kids on e-bikes and scooters at the national mall.
Visiting in July! Can't wait. Flying in from the Netherlands..Watching every video for ideas 😂
Have fun!
Net 2 dagen terug, geweldige stad!
I will be staying crystal city hotel
On July 4th
I’d like to watch firework from
National Airport because I need to
near by restroom ( I’m senior )
Any suggestions ?
Looking forward to hear from you
Thank you soo much
Damn. I was really weeks away from my trip, thank you for this. I will just wait until the memorials are back to normal. Just seems like the worst possible summer to visit.
There will always be at least one or two major memorials or sites under construction. If you try to wait for "back to normal" it may never arrive.
@TripHacksDC Alright that makes sense. Be there June 3rd lol
I was just there the construction around the Lincoln memorial didn't hurt the experience
FYI, Jazz in the Garden requires winning a ticket lottery to attend
Nice bridge! never seen it before it looks new! where are you?
Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge opened in 2021.
Hi Rob, how are you? My wife and I are from Brazil and we're going to visit Washington DC in August this year. My question is about Capital Bikeshare. Could you help me, please? If I sign up for a day of Bikeshare, which costs 8 dollars, can I park my bike at a Bikeshare kiosk while I visit a museum on the National Mall and after I leave the museum take another one or the same bike to go to another attraction or will that cost something? Thanks for your help.
How much is to schedule a tour with you?
Depends which tour you choose. Check out: www.triphacksdc.com/tours
Is there a map of the proposed purple line?
Yes: www.purplelinemd.com/about-the-project/project-maps
@@TripHacksDC thanks Rob you are the goat!
Will you make a video about the 2024 Presidential Inauguration?
Unlikely. There is a podcast episode about inaugurations if you are interested in the topic. www.triphacksdc.com/podcast25
@@TripHacksDC thanks!!! I'll listen now!
Sorry to bust anyone’s bubble but the Savannah Bananas sold out at Nationals Park months ago
Wow! Very nice video and update. Please Rob, kindly give me a Three months iternary to D.C (i.e Virginia, Down town, Maryland ) and even most attractive places to visit in America. Esther from Ghana. Thank You, God richly bless you.
