Why are there not messengers that are completely serverless like syncthing, i.e. no in between server, just clients finding eachother online. Message only arrives if device in on, but truly serverless/decentralized.
It seems to me that it makes sense to ask the authors, and more broadly the insiders, of such projects about their general worldview (philosophy). As recent events show (Telegram, X, Meta, etc.), this can be crucial in a critical situation.
