  • This is series 1 of other videos I will do showing how to preserve & dry your flowers for you craft projects. Preserving flowers is different from drying. Preserving flowers leaves them more soft and supple, so they are easier to manipulate for your projects. In this video I have used glycerine & water to preserve the flowers. I have added fabric colour dye to try and get the flowers to take up the colour. Not all flowers where successful at the fabric dye

This was really fascinating Vicki, I don’t know if I will ever get to this but I really enjoyed your video and can’t wait to see what you come up with next. 😊

😮That’s AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for sharing this ❤❤❤ do you have to use colorant?? And would this work on flowers from the floral department or do you have to cut from an actual plant? So want to try this. ❤❤❤❤

You can do it purchased flowers. No you don't have to add colour but a lot of flowers will go brown over time.

I’ve never seen anything like this before Vicki… incredibly interesting to watch and learn!!
I’m wondering if I could pick your brain… we are in the process of moving, and the block of land we’re moving to is baron. The property we’re leaving has lots of trees and plants… and I don’t know if we can take any with us??
Like, can we dig up little gum tree saplings… or will they just not thrive?
And we have Aussie native flowering plants/trees here like red bottlebrush (the weeping kind) and others that I don’t know the name of… lol. But, as this place is being bulldozed when we leave, it’s breaking my heart the trees n plants will be destroyed… yet I have nothing where I’m going. ?? 😊
PS… I’ve just purchased 3kg of silica beads in an effort to dry as many bottlebrush and other beautiful flowers as I can, before I leave, which will be in a week! Do you think 3 days is long enough to have them in the silica?
Thanks so much Vicki… sorry to bombard you with questions… and feel free to ignore me if you’re too busy!!
    Lotsa luv from Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

Depending on size of the plants you want to transplant. Small ones should be ok. Get native potty mix (red ticks on bag not black ones). Bigger stuff can be difficult. Have a look at the flowers now. Bottle brush can be a pain as the fluffy bits fall off. You can ring me if you like. 0419 481 686
