WOW Alcohol Ink Pour On Coasters. Awesome technique
These coasters are just beautiful and inspired by Julie Cutts (Pouring Your Heart Out. Watch until the end to see what happens when I remove the masking tape. The alcohol inks were mixed with isopropyl alcohol, then blown to created the effects. Top coasted with Harry & Wilma's Artist Epoxy Resin. The top coast is super clear and shiny. DIY coasters. WOW I love these moulds and the supports are amazing. I used a deep pour epoxy resin to create these draws. I mixed a black mica powder with a gold chameleon powder for the outside of the draws and the arms. Melt With Starburst Palm Wax

In this video I have used Feathering and Starburst Palm Wax to create my melts in clam shells. These waxes create a pattern in the wax for a pretty visual effect. Palm is 100% vegetable based. I don't use any paraffin waxes as they can be toxic to Dog, Cats & Birds. Melts are easy to make and a good beginners project. Colours can be added if required.

Hi Vicki, wow I’m loving your alcohol ink coasters. You really nailed them and it was only your first try. I make them too but usually buy white gloss 10cm tiles from Bunnings and they are so easy to work with (any mistakes and they can easily be cleaned with alcohol and start again). Also I use an aluminium take away container or those ones you can buy to cook roasts and veggies in the Weber. I just wipe them clean with alcohol. Just thought it may save you a lot of cleaning and sanding on your boards. I put a self adhesive cork backing on the back of the tile when I have finished top coating them. They are pretty cheap either from Temu or Amazon. I hope you didn’t mind the lengthy comment, just thought you might like a few tips. I love those colours together, I will definitely try them. 😊

Photo paper in this one but there is another video where I just used copy paper, and a shinny

Be prepared for a bit sanding on the back of the draws. I got a sharp edge which needed deburring and sanding

Just start small and see if you like it. If you want to do jars, c3 soy is a beautiful wax and you can do melts with it as well 😄. Ring me if you get stuck. Don't buy jars at the reject shop the glass is too thin.

I’d be really keen to see some videos about growing & striking Aussie natives (& other plants/trees)… I’ve probably already mentioned that our new block of land is baron, as it used to be a turf farm (many years ago)… and I desperately want to get some fast growing trees planted, as well as create a garden out front. Great information ❤❤❤❤ I had wooly aphids kill some rose bushes. I used Dawn dish soap in a vacuum spray bottle and it seemed to have worked. Do you get those?
Yes, I use confidor for those as well. It can be hard to tell the difference between mealy bug, woolly aids and soft scale when they are small. I treat them all the same. All sap suckers, in the garden I spray or soil drench depending on numbers. Still with active ingredient imidacloprid. In the States, there is a really good one but not shipped to Australia
