3%- shouldn’t we expect to be a minority as the concept of a “christian country” is actually not biblical?
And looking back to being 8-12 years old: Faith has developed with experience over years. To believe (= to be certain) at this age would be at a developing stage as the whole person is still developing then.
I’d say start with ~ adulthood (18y.o) when it comes to having set the basic of faith.

This seems to disregard the Bible's imperative to parents to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Deut 6, Ephesians 6.
And, are there such things as "christian marriages" or "christian friendships"? "Christian" describes people in a thing. And, expecting to be a minority is different from accepting that our nation is rejecting God. Lots of conflation of ideas here.

One might need to disentangle this. Here's my suggestion:
Christian: believers in Christ (people who acknowledge and repent their distant nature from God and accept Jesus as the one who fixed this). So Christian marriages are those where both are united in that faith (with all aspects of it)- unlike secular mariages.
Raising children in admonition of the Lord- yes but at some point they need to take their own decision of faith.
And there's also growths. Not sure how much others would have counted me as a Christian then compared to now. I was at first just going to Church.
I think parents can just crank the engine but every person needs to allow the fuel injection himself- for it to fire up.
Regarding nations: Unlike marriages, these are secular entities. Luther taught about the Two Kingdoms. I would be delighted to be in a majority with other Christians (like Sunday in church). But since the Kingdom of God is not of this world, I can't equate it with a Christian nation (church has no national borders too) nor do I expect to be in a majority- while still praying God to reveal his Gospel to as many as possible.
And how do we measure the percentage of Christians?
In some reagions everyone is a Christian- on paper / by name. Only God may know who is really a Christian, we only see the outer signs. So I remain open to those who still develop (me inclued). Everyone can until the end of his life.
Am I thinking too small? @@TheFredericks
