I like how the Homing Attack can be used as a recovery tool instead of screwing you up, except that, like the Falcon Kick, you can't use it TOO low ot you'll get yourself killed.
@@Trimint123 Yup! then again, you can use it as a combo finisher when you don't really know how else to follow up and it mostly works thanks to the 64 hitstun, I'm not sure of it works as a good extender, but it can trade with some aerials so there are times you'll want to edgeguard with it to take your opponent's jump.. as long as you can take the trade, though

He's not THAT good, Kirby, Pika, C. Falcon, and other Remix characters are better than he is. That doesn't take away the fact Sonic is one of the most fun characters to use, though.
@@SharonisCarin321 He is similar, but this game works fundamentally different to P+ anyways, not all the same strategies are favored, the same way N64 Kirby wouldn't be Top Tier if he was in Melee even with those gigantic hitboxes staying untouched. heck, he would struggle to even count as a high tier. So yeah, Sonic is an okay character at worst, but it's too early to say he's "top 5".

@@SharonisCarin321 I think Marth is just flat-out better than Sonic, he has disjoints and can do some REALLY absurd stuff on Z-Cancel, a good marth will just delete your entire stock just because a random F-air hit you in neutral, doesn't matter how hard you try to DI, he will just end you with a D-Air spike at ledge. if Sonic had anything like that, I think we would know by now, but all I've really seen is how he doesn't have any bad move per say (except maybe his F-Tilt, which imo doesn't complement the moveset, and even then it's not really bad), his homing attack is overall great if you can read your opponent's roll, and he can true combo D-Air > Grab and Spindash > F-air Spike, which is flashy and cool but doesn't really come close to the stupid shïtte you can see early Marth pull off. ngl, Sonic has his tricks, and I like him a lot, but if anything, he should be around Wario in the Tier List.
With the exception of Dark Samus, all characters in this mod have existed since the release of Smash 64 or earlier. So everyone except maybe Shulk has a good chance of getting in this game in the future.

It's also easy for your opponent to punish you from Homing Attacking, so if they know what you're doing, they may push you out of the way.
