Really enjoyed this Track One Take; was really waiting to see the stock M3 6spd taken close to its limits. Matt you really drove that car properly and enjoyed that slight oversteer spin out! The sound of the M3 with bass was pretty amazing.
Haha I've been saying BMW's make you drive a lot more aggressive on the streets . I feel like it's due to the steering/road feel and confidence the car gives you which makes you do stupid/aggressive shit haha.
Mahic408 I told myself when I got my e92 335i I wouldn't be a dick...its so hard not to lol She just fuckin GOES and it's hard not to let it get my head that I'm quicker than 80% of the cars out there. I do cruise and chill drive with her 90% of the time (long commute), but that last bit is only a small push of the pedal away lol

same for me, the BMW gives so much confidence when you drive it. In my 320ci e46 M-Sport, its not the power but the handling for me. I simply love it.
Idk I'm seeing more aggressive driving/hooning in AMGs , BMW drivers a quite sensible where I live.. maybe I'm just out at the wrong place, at the wrong time... who knows?

The M3/M4 with carbon brakes are a blast on track. Did the 2 day M School last year and just pounded those cars for two straight days on Thermal. Lots of fun

Nah, that's how you take turn 5 at Gingerman. It's earlier and faster than it looks. I've passed SO MANY there who take it too slow.

As for the ceramic brakes, they apparently don't last that long on the track. They produce a lot of heat; pads and rotors get thin pretty quickly on these cars. They last as long as iron brakes, and given one rotor costs more than four grand, it seems like a waste of money. At service, they check the mark on the rotors and weigh the rotors and if they are under a certain level, they have to replaced. I've read some guys that also track the M3s have gotten Max 20k miles out of CCB's. However, ceramics will probably last very long on a street-driven car and definitely produce way less brake dust, if any.
Matt, your audio setup is killer. To have open windows on a track for this quality is amazing. No problem at all.

I have a stripper manual F80 M3 almost exactly like this one, only option is adaptive suspension. Still 100% stock, if I remember correctly the MSRP was around $65k.

I must be getting weird ears as I get older, because the audio clipping for me is pretty noticeable. But nobody else seems to have an issue with it. Other than that. great vid as always.

Love the cloth seats. Nice to see non-leather options in premium cars. Seems to be fast, but personally would rather an E36/E46, if just for the sound. Or with current gen cars, Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadfrifoglio.
Why not an E90 if just for the sound?
Because an E90 does not sound as good as an E36/E46. Also, a BMW V8 is just a thinly veiled disguised German bomb.
but the Alfa only comes with that vaginal automatic, not even a dct. The m3 simply has superior transmission options.
Alfa comes with a manual in Europe. Would import it. [Also, the Alfa auto is, as far as autos go, fantastic.]

No C6 RS6 in the US
We don't get most of the RS models in the states.
The RS7 is essentially the same car in the USA. The car is great but it's very heavy and terrible on a track.

The watched look really nice clean men design. I like it, just if they have the same cases with some inexpensive automatic ETA movements, still very good though, as the quartz Citizen is still pretty good, it would be awesome! Very nice car too, awesome car, and I understand why Matt wants to slide it a little, drift a bit, instead of clean cutting the corners every time. You are not in a real race for positions, so why not drift the beemer now and then, this car is good for both:)

Bought a Vincero, it's fine for the price, just like the style. Also the M3 sounds better than the competition, except for the C63.
mdtrx z the M3 is probably the worst sounding car of its class, and while that's not to say it sounds bad, it's competitors do all sound better

I've noticed for quite awhile now that windows down doesn't seem to really matter on audio, it's been good
I bought wireless lavaliers so when I have to drive very loud cars or use windows down on track I run those.
Matts hand placement, and both hands on the wheel REALLY went out of the window in the BMW .... does that come with the car when it is delivered?

In my opinion you should have camera gyro stabilisation off when mounted to a car. It turns the opposite way to where your eyes would go and feels weird.

Great car and behavior, just felt like the Pilot Sports are soft, which is good, cause they do get grip, but seemed like they got too soft under heavy duty race mode driving... as if they started squeak more than a real Racing tire would. Professional slicks would do better on the G's in my opinion, but these tires are the best on this car for public road driving:)
