Thank you. Especially the comment about mechanistic drawing. That neither extreme represents how life is lived seems to get lost.

Father, bless! Thank you for sharing. I especially took to heart your words on losing your mentor as well, to cherish the time shared, not to grieve what didnt become; may it be blessed, and you.

Is there a close connection between Ouspensky and the New Age movement, occult etc?

Wow I think this is what I want to do. I always came across icons growing up catholic, and as an artist, and after taking art history, I can very much appreciate icons and icon painting. I would love to create icons but I feel unworthy of such.

Would you be interested in looking at a few photographs of 2 seperate images that appeared above our church.
1 includes Our Lady’s accompanied by 2 Archangels, a priest and the sun. 23/12/20
2.Christ (Papel attire with staff) 26/1/21
Having the 1,both or part of the images depicted as Ikons is of interest to me obviously only if permitted.
Is this something you might do?
    Cheers
    David

The word "Icon" is a Greek word and translates as "image". For the icon to have the power of guidance, defense, etc. it must be sanctified with the prayer of the Orthodox priest. There are also sorcerer icons with charms on them. The icon must be purchased only from the monastery or church and not be recieved as gift. The word "grace" translates as "the right given by Jesus Christ to priests to offer prayers of release, baptism, communion, etc.", grace can only have the priest and not a icon or anyone else.
