Tyler Ruhe Well they can play high in their register but it’s a matter of fact that they can’t play high compared to some other instruments.

Everyone is talking about the tuba player... he is alsome, no question!! BUT what is going on on the high es on the bariton. WOW WOW WOW
I think he hit a triple G or something. I legit had to count the freaking lines to find out what notes they are. And the fact that he played those high notes with such a clear and smooth tone was incredible. Especially the the slur up to that high triple G (I think it’s a triple G).

I practiced playing the B-flat tuba from age 10 to 18 before going to college. I thought I was quite good at playing it until I saw your videos. Now I realize how little I have practiced. I am going to buy a tuba to practice again as my new hobby.🎉🎉

I am extremely impressed. How do you play such high notes on baritone? How do you have such a clear sound, and great embouchure? I would like to know as a highschool musician.
It’s all practice I play trombone and euph and it took me years to even be relatively good and I’m a senior and I’m still learning to be better one thing that my director always told me was music is 50% listening and 50% playing always listen to your instrument play and it will help you a lot
Commit to memory any version of carnival of venice. By the time you have mastered this everything else will just fall into place automatically
@@dingusdingus2152 Been there, done that, still not at that level. It takes a hell of a lot of practice and dedication to get to that level, not just memorising one piece
For the higher notes you obviously need a smaller omboture and it helps me to tense my abs up and use a lot of air. Good luck
