wow as usual once again good video with clear explanation thanks a lot man please do more videos about aws (on maximum services which companies use)so that every one can clearly understand and if some one wants to learn aws quickly please come here and follow this channel.
I came here from your ECS tutorial. Contents and details are good in both. You have definitely improved video and sound quality in recent ones. Keep posting. Try to add a real world scenario wherever possible.
Awesome, thank you! Do share and support us..
Wonderful description and Demo. Thanks very much
Please do share with your friends. Look at other easy AWS videos on our channel.
First video I came across that digs into security group applied to an ENI versus generically handwaving that it is assigned to an instance. Good deal. Might want to make it clearer that the instance level security groups that are shown correspond to eth0.
Thanks Arun :) Please support us by sharing our videos and channel on LinkedIn/FB/Twitter, to bring more such AWS videos.
Very nice clear explanations, I look fwd to see more vidoes from you. Just little one suggeastion, if you could please speak little louder, it will be very helpful.
Sure Sowmya. I am trying to take care of this in recent videos. Request you to watch latest videos on the channel. Also, please SUBSCRIBE to remain updated. You can join our LIVE sessions as well, the details appear in the calendar on our blog -- aws-tutorials.blogspot.ie/p/page1.html
Thanks!!!!! quick and to the point
Excellent video sir

Great presentation!
Great Content and Explain - But Please - Talk Louder on all your sessions!
Excellent, awesome job sir
Thanks. Also, please see our playlist for SA & SysOps. Share our videos if they are helpful.
My doubt is clear after this video . Thanks a lot
nicely explained
Hi, many thanks for the video - are you able to reflect this theory with real life example - reason/benefits of using a secondary ENIC as opposed to just using one ENIC or the primary NIC ?
Your videos are great with clear explanation. I see there is a playlist, wanted to confirm if the order of vidoes in it is correct. It would be nice to name them as "Lesson 1 - " ,"Lesson 2 - " or something.
please check our playlists section on the channel ..
Thank you, good explanation..!
Guru Jee you are really GREAT....
Thanks JK. May i request you to share the videos and write on LinkedIn / FB about our channel?
Hi, this vedio is very helpful and if i had on premise nic cards how can i connect them to ec2 instance
Thanks for you
Thanks. Also, please see our playlist for SA & SysOps. Share our videos if they are helpful.
with this i done with vpc concept next moving to ec2
great explanation, quick question, can we attach same security group with multiple network interfaces?
You're saving my ass at work
What should I say on this.. 💥💥💥✌️✌️
Hi, do you thin you can make a video explaining STS. There are no good explanations available around it... Thanks for making such awesome videos.
Yes, i shall cover STS in upcoming videos.
Excellent Video!! But why it is called Elastic ? I believe we use this term for a fix IP address which doesn't change even after stopping the instance. The default private IP of instance is not elastic?
Would be better if you could have mentioned the practical usage of ENI as well..
What's the point of doing it? Are we making sure for highly available systems like keeping the second IP on the standby? Why would we want to assign multiple IPs to a single instance? We can assign multiple domains to the single IP, add a proxy server in between for security reasons. I am just confused as to why would we want to create multiple ENIs so that we can assign multiple IPs to a single instance.
I would really appreciate if you can answer this. Btw thank you for creating your content and sharing your experience. I am really learning a lot about AWS through your channel.
what is network interface , we get the optio n while launching ec2
Hi,
Thank you for the videos.
One Ques - what is the use if src and desti check??
This attribute is always TRUE to avoid potential spoofing. Only in case of NAT instances, you make it FALSE (or disabled).
Please SHARE the videos if you like and don't forget to check out other videos on our RUclips Channel, you will like those. Please spread the word. Thanks a lot. in.linkedin.com/in/knowledgeindia & fb.me/AWStutorials
Sir, so we are not allowing any unintended traffic that is not destined for the server right ? If that is the case we already have security groups defined, what is the difference then ?
Please correct if my understanding is wrong
Could you share the link to the video regarding network IC s? I couldn't find it. Thanks.
Thankq for this wonderful info. why do we create three Elastic IPs for one instance for ENI. One is not enough?
It can be useful to assign multiple IP addresses to an instance in your VPC to do the following:
Host multiple websites on a single server by using multiple SSL certificates on a single server and associating each certificate with a specific IP address.Operate network appliances, such as firewalls or load balancers, that have multiple IP addresses for each network interface.Redirect internal traffic to a standby instance in case your instance fails, by reassigning the secondary IP address to the standby instance.

Thanks for your quit reply
Hi, You have been doing awesome work FREE Coaching, Appreciate it.
Compared to your other videos, here flow was not comfortable. If you had given proper usecase explaining in whiteboard would have been better. You were switching many windows, screens continuously ... Just my comments.
Appreciate your feedback and i shall try to improve on this. Please like and share those videos which you have found helpful and good quality.
Sir does this mean ports are specific to ENIs on any given server ?
E.g :80 is different than :80
Jagdish Belapure no, both will take you to same port. But, think of 2 IPs as 2 different gates.
Ideally, you would give IP1 PORT 22 to one group. IP2 PORT 80 to other group.
Please share the video with your friends. Thanks
How can I get the practical questions for sysops???
May I know what problem it solves and what feature it adds?
it shows its connected but it's not configured (worked with only amazon linux), also i tried to configure using
YAML but not working, so can you please tell me how to configure secondry network interface in ubuntu 18.4
Thanks very much for the knowledge you are sharing :)
I have a doubt, may be it is not related to the concept you have explained in this video
On a video you have explained about subnets and IGTs , you have explained about NAT Gateways also which I have created one for testing without the knowledge that it is not free. After two days I have checked the billing dashboard and realized it is not free.
But you use them regularly in your videoos, along with them you use Elastic IP addresses also which are chargable. Are you paying the bill for them ?
Of course Rajesh, I do need to pay for it.

Sir , what is the use of assigning multiple Public IP to the EC2 ? At last only one IP will be assigned to the DNS
Can we make this as automated? Like incase if one ENI gets failed (eg:error code 500), it can automatically route to another ENI through a lambda function? If so, please guide me how to change ENI based on status of an instance.
Hi Sir , Am facing an issue here , i am trying to create a Secondary ENI as you demonstrate above , but its not creating from my end . i tried 3 time to create . can you help me on this ?
Thanks, But had you explained with a block-diagram on what is ENI and the advantage, then would move to demo and usecase, it would have been more interesting. I am lost on assigning, elastic IP, private IP and puublic-IP. But your series is Awesome.
okay. thanks. Please support us by sharing our videos and channel on LinkedIn/FB/Twitter, to bring more such AWS videos.
@@knowledgeindia Sure, we are all benefiting.
can i have the url for network ACLs please....i could able to find video on security groups (inbound and outbound)
ruclips.net/video/9bXm82AjWWg/видео.html
Nice explanation, but one question, how primary ENI (eth0) got 2 private IP address
by default, it will have one only. but if u want you can give 2 private IPs to it.
question: any use case of creating secondary ENI for an instance?
you can shift your EC2 instances from one security group to another, as per your requirements by the time.. (by assigning secondary ENIs to your EC2)
Hello Knowledge India,
Great Info. I have a question related to ENI. Could you let us know what speed (100 Mbps, 1 Gbps) and Duplex (Half, Full) does it support. Does it support 10 Gbps speed for Next Generation network? I am concerned about speed/duplex setting as Network Guy. :-)
Thanks in advance!
it depends on Instance type and not ENI.
can you tell the use case...when to use ENI...you have mentioned how we create. please tell the business where eni will be used
ENI is the component through which you EC2 gets an IP. hence, that is the primary use. please do the practical and you will be clear.
every ec2 gets ip. however when is the need to add extra eni.
it is explained in the video itself. please see
☺
thanks to google.

Sir Ji, Thanks for the tutorial. I got how to add multiple ENI now.
but I need clarity on something very basic.
So by adding multiple ENI to AN INSTANCE
1. Still its a single point of failure, Where in if the instance fails, all the attached ENI also fails right?
2. Normally in an ON-PREM INFRA, we used to have muti NIC for the webserver not to have a single point of failure in case of one NIC CARD fails? Where as in AWS its a virtual world and I assume its a managed service right? we don't have to worry about the Primary failing at all ?
3. Why shd we disable the SOURCE/DESTINATION CHECK FLAG for the ENI? I think we disable the "SOURCE/DESTINATION" only when we create a NAT INSTANCE, that's right?
4. The primary ENI can't be detached, Becoz that's the one which makes the instance to have a public and/or private IP right?
5. So the best use case for multi eni would be, Where in
a. In a single large instance with multi ENI, that one instance can be part of both private and public subnet
b. Having said that, I can have web server facing the internet in the public ENI and the database also in the same instance in the private ENI and configure the security group accordingly.
6. So with multiNIC, I can have multiple websites on the same server, with each Nic attached to one website?

@@knowledgeindia Regarding Point 5 . I can have an EC2 A in a subnet Sub1 . This EC2 will have a default ENI say ENIDefault in the same subnet Sub1 . But , can I create a new ENI say ENISecondary in a new subnet Sub2 and attach it to the same EC2 A ?
Please let me know.
I am flow the video to add new interface on my instance everything working fine when i am trying to ping private ip which are assign new interface (eth1) it,s pinging but if i am trying to ping public ip i am not able to ping could you please advise me what is the mistake.
Bipin,
I am not able to get full picture about your setup. Please check from where you are trying to ping and what ports have you allowed in Security group inbound. Also, do check the Security Group tutorial, it would help. Please write in a more elaborate manner after that and i can try to help further.
hi sir, suppose we have an instance and we have one public and one private ip address, and I terminated an instance, can i use same ip addresses in new instance?
Only if you go with elastic IP, not normal public IP
Sir, just wanted to understand if there is any practical realtime scenario regarding this usage ?
can u please let me know
Pls use voice modulation to emphasize important points unless it becomes monotonous.

Is it possible to create kms endpoint using cloudformation template..if yes ..can you please make a video
you can only create 2 resources under KMS (via CloudFormation) -

Hello sir ...do u give online tutorial i.e one on one classes to crack the AWS certificate .
I do not train for certification. I organize training only for hands-on. Connect on linkedin to see all the announcements.
Hello , is it possible to exports ENIS in json format ? I 'm not arriving to do it because I need to create a script bash !!
Yes
docs.aws.amazon.com/cli/latest/reference/ec2/describe-network-interfaces.html
Thanks for your fast reply. I have checked the link you provided and I haven't se en what I'm looking for. I don't want to write the ENI from scratch, I juste wanna export it directly from the ENI I created in ec2. Is it possible?
Hi! I want to create two websites on the free tier with SSL and Load Balancer with VestaCP. Is this possible. Can you guide me through it, please? Not a tech guy. Just trying something on my own :)
Elaborate more please.
I want to host 2 websites on the same instance having their own SSL and the instance has to have VestaCP installed with Elastic Load Balancer. Can you do a guide for such a situation?
so private ips can be considered as the MAC address of our machines .. 🤔
no. they are different.
Purpose of adding secondary ENI sir?
#sastrite
This is given with more details in AWS documentation, please refer.
If you need to install firewall in AWS, you need Extra ENI, For Inside and Outside.
Questions:
1. How much does AWS ENI cost when it's attached to EC2?
2. How much does AWS ENI cost when it isn't attached to EC2?
3. What are the side effects if we do not remove unused AWS ENIs from our AWS account?
Thanks.
Sir , sound quality is not good and Please tell clearly,
but Thanks for this lecture
Please check out other videos on our channel.. i am sure you will notice good sound quality in recent videos..

the content might be good, but i fell asleep in the first 2 mins, so i don't know
Thank God, I helped in your sleep. 😀😀
I usually like his video, but this one was too fast and bit not clear
